Volume Rebonding

Sunday, August 01, 2010

Ish and I decided to have our hair rebonded. Mine really depends on what the hairstylist will say. If he gives the go signal that I can have my hair rebonded, then I'd gladly do it, if not I won't insist. We went to Tony and Jackey at NS Amoranto and they suggested it's better if we go for volume rebonding. Their reason, the length of our hair would be better off if they do volume rebond so that it doesn't fly away. We opted for L'oreal instead of the korean medicine since we feel that we own the most abused hair. We'd like to be careful so that no further damage will happen. So far so good. I still don't know the outcome since I haven't shampooed my hair. You see when you have your hair rebonded, you are not allowed to wet your hair for two days so that the effect would be nice. I really don't know what will happen if you do.

I'll post a picture soon, I couldn't do it now since I look like a mess without washing my hair.

Party Momma

Saturday, January 03, 2009

While watching some makeup tutorials at youtube, I came across this vid that demonstrates how a faux hawk hairdo is done. I've been doing it to myself for 2 days now, one with curls and today it was tied in a bun. I went to collect rent today and "wore" my faux hawk bun. When the tenant saw me, she said something like this. "Galing ka ng party?" (Did you just come from a party?) I didn't know what to say and what to think as I was caught offguard. But I was more than amused than mad. This is actually the first time they see my "fixed". When I go collect the rental money monthly, I usually wear plain street clothes, in other words, I didn't have the "salon look", LOL. But today aside from the fact that I fixed my hair, I wore falsies too!

DIY Once Again

Monday, April 14, 2008

I know, I know, here I go again. But what can I do, I want to save some moolah. If I can do it why not. right? Well I'm talking about applying cellophane on my hair. You see I still own the most abused hair, even if I had a haircut recently which was really short. In order for the hairstyle to look good, I need either to blow dry it or iron. So now you know why I own the most abused hair. In order to avoid further damage and to bring back the shine it once had, I cellophaned my hair. Haha, is this even the right term? Now it looks a little better. A friend advised me to do it at least once a week until such time that it looks healthy already. Arrrgghhh, I hope it does not take me a year ;-p

New Look

Monday, February 11, 2008

Nope it's not me although there's something new with me too. Ish my 14 year old daughter decided she wants to have a new look. This time she wants to curl her hair. She says she pities me everytime I iron her hair. I actually do it almost everyday. Really Ish? Is it really me? Or you were just convinced that you look prettier with curly hair. Anyways, I was with her at Tony and Jackey when she had her hair done...it's called digital perm. It's soft and bouncy, big curls, the way she likes it.

And what's new with me? I had another eyeglasses made, this time with nosepads on...I still wanna have "betty boop" lashes even with glasses on.

Mother-Daughter Bonding

Thursday, November 15, 2007

This is what we do every night before Ish goes to bed. In between watching TV, I blow dry her hair. She likes to take a bath at night so she won’t wake up early in the mornings just to get ready for school. And she said something like, “I don’t want to bother you in the mornings Mom, to comb my hair.” Yes, I used to do that every morning before she goes to school. She wants me to style her hair, nah make that fix her hair. She claims that she does not know how to put the clip properly. She claims too that whenever I’m the one putting the clip, her hair stays in place. I’m happy with our bonding time. If my darling boy goes for a massage, then my darling girl goes for a blow dry. Mommy’s special touch is still there, it’s one way of showing my love for my kids.

"You Look Young"

Tuesday, March 27, 2007

Wow Mom! you look young(ish)...this is what my son Josh said when I got home. I finally found time to go to the salon for my much needed rebonding. The reason why I had been delaying this rebonding thingy is because I was soooo scared that if I had my hair rebonded, instead of it being straight it would turn out freezy. Why you ask? Because it was also Josh who said that I looked like a witch with my jet black hair and he wanted me to go back to my color which meant bleaching. And did you know that when you have your hair rebonded you're not suppose to wash your hair for 3 days. Yikes...3 days of itch, smell and all. But despite the fact, I wasn't looking forward to wash my hair. You see when I went to Tony & Jackey, they didn't really want to do my hair because of its condition. They didn't want to use their (korean) products but opted for L'oreal Extenso instead, and that means a more expensive one. And they still did not guarantee that I was to have silky straight soft hair. And with their parting words: "After you wash your hair and you find something wrong, don't panic, just give us a call and will fix it for free." What encouraging parting words...so I really didn't look forward to washing my hair. Thank God it turned out ok, i'm back to straight soft hair, and as Josh would put it I look young(ish).
