Don't Forget My Gloves
Friends
Look at that! Her collection grew over the years, some bought, the rest were presents to her by her friends. It keeps her company every night, when she sleeps. She no longer has her nanny beside her when she sleeps. She loves all of them, and wouldn't want to dispose any of them. Just like me with my Trixie, she loves to dress them too. We have not gone to the mall together yet to buy clothes for all her friends, but we will, when we have the time to do so. Maybe when school's done we can do that.
Leave it to Them
Moving from one place to another is really difficult. We've experienced that twice already and it's really very stressful. We didn't hire movers though coz at that time we had a pool of workers and a truck which we rented. But it's totally different if we hired professional movers. I would not have experienced headaches. I would have hired something like the services rendered by this New York Moving Company. Well, lessons are learned the hard way, but at least next time I know better. I will let them do the hard work next time while just sitting pretty, lol.

Thank goodness my Fashion Blog is back and with a new look this time. It took me some time to fix it, actually I just didn't have the time to do it. And I got lazy too, coz everything was erased, I mean all the entries. Good thing I was able to save copies of the layout. It's not updated though, first quarter is just so busy and I am always in a hurry. Don't have the luxury of time to be taking self portraits ^_^.
Flowers for your Wedding
Friday, February 22, 2008

We are in the wedding business, although not as a florist but I pretty much have an idea how it would cost. It's grand, I mean if you want to have beautiful floral arrangements for your wedding, it will cost you a fortune. But hey, did you know that you can get pretty flowers at affordable prices? I know of a website where you can buy not just bulk roses but different kinds of flowers you want to have on your wedding day. And why do I say it's affordable? It's because you buy the flowers directly from them. No more middlemen here which is sometimes the reason why prices of flowers go up. Check out their wedding flower packages which can save you a great deal on your budget.

Personalized Lockets
Tuesday, February 19, 2008

What do you think of that gold locket? It's pretty right? Yes, I want to have that. It's a 14k gold locket where I can have our picture lasered. It's 100 percent waterproof and will last a lifetime. That's one of the designs I really find cool from the Gold Lockets collection. Silver Lockets are also available in different designs. You should check it out. It would make a wonderful present too for your loved ones. How about a Mother's Day gift to your Moms? You can put the picture of the family on one side of the locket, and a special message on the other side of the locket. Cool idea, right?

I Miss my Laptop
Back to the laptop. The service center says that it's going to stay with them for 3 weeks. The problem is the hardware that handles the wireless connection. Would you believe they don't have the parts available? Yep, they will source out, all the way from Singapore. BOO!

Classy Furniture

Wow! This is my kind of furniture stores. I love everything I see and there are numerous pieces I want to own. They carry different name brands, and guess what? They offer 40 to 50 percent off retail prices. They've been doing this since they started in 1949. You should see their collection, it's really nice, very simple and yet with a lot of class. Every room would look beautiful. I also like the idea of them putting a room planner in their website. When we built this house where we are staying, I've been going a lot of room planner over the net just to get ideas how I should fix the house.

Prices of almost everything is going down except the gold price. If you check the world market for the price of gold, there was never a time that it depreciated. Currencies depreciate quite fast, so if ever you have extra which you don't intend to use, it's better if you invest in gold. Investing in gold has higher returns compared to all the products banking/financial institutions have to offer. It has been said that buying gold is one of the best ways to preserve one's wealth and buying power. If you are interested in investing in gold, why don't you hover over to Monex.com. This company has been America's gold, silver and precious metals investment leader. And not only that, they are known to be the best dealer due to their competitive prices.

Again thank you so much for being thoughtful. We (me and Ish) loved what you gave us.
Pretty Designs
Saturday, February 16, 2008
This website reminds me that I should be getting new shower curtains for our bathrooms. Shown in the picture is a sample of how beautiful and dainty their designs are. I want to own all 16 designs. I think the price is reasonable for a quality fabric shower curtain, and not only that, if you order, shipping is free. Too bad, some of the designs are out of stock. So hurry, purchase before it runs out. Ahem, calling on my sisters, you know what to get me when you send a box over here, lol. And if possible can you please get me all 16 designs?Red is the Color of the Day
Thursday, February 14, 2008

This VEE day tag was passed on to me by Cuz, the lady with me in the picture.
START COPY HERE
Here are the rules:
1. Post YOUR photo wearing red, may it be a red top, bottom, the least would be red accessories if you hate wearing red… If you can’t find one, you still have an option…. Either post your Significant Other’s photo or your child’s photo, if you have one. Of course, they should be wearing red.
2. Let us know the reason why you were wearing red that particular day. Was it your birthday? Is red your fave color or was it the shirt that you first saw in your closet that day?
3. Tag 3 people close to your heart. By the way, they have to be in your blogroll. No cheating heart pleaseeeeeeee!
4. Once you’re tagged, could we please keep it going - just for this month?
END HERE
That picture was taken on my 41st birthday. I was not really intending to wear red, but since The Chairman insisted that it's lucky to wear something red on your birthday, I did.
Just to remind you not to cheat: tag 3 people close to your heart =)

New Look
Monday, February 11, 2008
Nope it's not me although there's something new with me too. Ish my 14 year old daughter decided she wants to have a new look. This time she wants to curl her hair. She says she pities me everytime I iron her hair. I actually do it almost everyday. Really Ish? Is it really me? Or you were just convinced that you look prettier with curly hair. Anyways, I was with her at Tony and Jackey when she had her hair done...it's called digital perm. It's soft and bouncy, big curls, the way she likes it.
And what's new with me? I had another eyeglasses made, this time with nosepads on...I still wanna have "betty boop" lashes even with glasses on.

Tuesday, February 05, 2008
Here's a preview of what happened last Saturday at the HS Grand Alumni Homecoming. That picture was taken right after the toast. People were stationed at all corners of the quadrangle to pop out confetti right after the toast. Fireworks followed which was really awesome. After which the band played 80s music and on with the non-stop dancing. A lot congratulated us for a job well done. We were the host for that night as we were also celebrating our silver year. A lot say that so far that night was the best!

Ways to Reduce Stress
Sunday, February 03, 2008
I found this in my inbox and I thought of sharing this with all of you. It's not that hard to reduce stress after all.
1. Pray
2. Go to bed on time.
3. Get up on time, so you can start your day unrushed.
4. Say No to projects that won't fit into your time schedule, or that will compromise your mental health.
5. Delegate tasks to capable others.
6. Simplify and unclutter your life.
7. Less is more. (Although one is often not enough, two are often too many.)
8. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places.
9. Pace yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult projects over time; don't lump the hard things all together.
10. Take one day at a time.
11. Separate worries from concerns . If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have you do and let go of the anxiety . If you can't do anything about a situation, forget it.
12. Live within your budget; don't use credit cards for ordinary purchases.
13. K.M.S. (Keep Mouth Shut). This single piece of advice can prevent an enormous amount of trouble.
14. Do something for the Kid in You everyday.
15. Carry a Bible with you to read while waiting in line.
16. Get enough rest.
17. Eat right.
18. Get organized so everything has its place.
19. Having problems? Talk to God on the spot. Try to nip small problems in the bud. Don't wait until it's time to go to bed to try and pray.
20. Make friends with Godly people.
21. Remember that the shortest bridge between despair and hope is often a good 'Thank you Jesus.'
22. Laugh.
23. Laugh some more!
24. Take your work seriously, but not yourself at all.
25. Develop a forgiving attitude (most people are doing the best they can).
26. Be kind to unkind people (they probably need it the most).
27. Sit on your ego.
28. Talk less, listen more.
29. Slow down.
30. Every night before bed, think of one thing you're grateful for that you've never been grateful for before. GOD HAS A WAY OF TURNING THINGS AROUND FOR YOU.
See? It's easy to have a stress-free life!
Oh Well
And since he says no to all the travels without him, I decided to just spend my earnings from doing sponsored posts by purchasing this. It's a pretty good buy since I got it at 20 percent off. Now I have something pretty to wear when I go work.

After 2 Trips
Thursday, January 31, 2008
I've finally uploaded the photo, so here it is. That is the kind of style I really wanted in the first place. I've longed for that style for a month now and I finally got it after having 2 trips to the salon. My favorite stylist was not around, I totally forgot the her day off falls on a Wednesday. The other stylist even asked me if I was really sure that I wanted her to do my hair. Like duh, I wouldn't make an appointment in the first place if I wasn't sure. Maybe it's out of respect to my stylist that's why she was not confident enough to touch my hair. Well I understand, but it's still up to the client you know.

Elegant Furniture for Your Homes
Friday, January 25, 2008
You should see the Furniture being sold at furniturefromhome.com. There's only one thing I can say ELEGANT! Yes, everything you see is elegant and with class. The sort of thing you see only in Home Magazines. I was really impressed when I visited the website. I want to own everything that I see there, really! It's something I want to put in our home. From the Living Room Furniture down to the Bed. I was salivating real bad. I promised myself that if ever I have extra money to spare, I'd definitely get something like what I saw. Hey Kri, since you are moving to your new home, you might consider getting your stuffs from the website. I just know that this is the type of furniture you go for. Don't forget to check their sofa sale, ok?
Back to Doing Nail Art
I'm back to business, doing nail art that is. I miss doing it. The last time I did my nails was like eons ago. I was really pretty much into it before, like changing nail art every week. But suddenly I felt really lazy, probably because I have run out of ideas. Yeah I have a nail art magazine where I can copy designs. But i'm not that good really and most of the designs were complicated. I can do it with my left hand, but what about my right hand? Tendency is, the design gets crooked or something. Again I'm not a pro, but at least I can do it on my own. It looks neat from afar, but don't look closely, you will be disappointed ^_^.

Your Car?

That pic was taken last Thursday when we had dinner at Serendra. We actually had a baptismal coverage on that day. Before leaving the house, N was saying something like, what if we bring your car so we can have a drink or two. I was like what? I won't be drinking? Bringing my car means only one thing...I will be the one driving. Anyways, he was saying something like, oh you can still manage to drive even with a drink or two. Are you saying that I'm a drunkard or something? And he says, well you have high tolerance for alcohol. Yeah right! **roll eyes** He apparently remembers those times I would drive home having drank 5 bottles of light beer, heehee.

Agenda: Buy Red Shoes. I kept saying those words to my daughter Ish while we were in the car the day we met with Chairman Vanidosa. I so wanted to have actually a ballet flats in red. I couldn't find one that looks good on me. I ended up buying this peep toe instead. It looked really nice on my feet. And you know what? I didn't realize that it was on sale at 300 pesos until I got to the cashier to pay. I am always lucky to be able to find good deals all the time.

The Beauty of Friendship
My friendship with Thess all started by leaving comments in each other's blog. I don't exactly remember when, but I think it's in 2005. We frequent each other's blog for updates with what's happening in our lives. Then we took a step higher by E, we would exchange E once in a while reaching about 16, like a pingpong ball. It's fun exchanging emails with her. We would talk about our being "pro"bloggers, talk about the opportunities we grab, share each other's discoveries about "pro"blogging, and even the companies that offer bloggers to earn. She is not at all selfish, in fact she would E me on what's the latest in "pro"blogging. Today we took another step, we both added each other in YM and we finally heard each other. I think we talked for a good one hour, if not more. Her voice is as melodious as her singing (she's posted a number of songs in her blog), she sounded sweet, happy and funny. I had a nice time with her today, and I really hope to meet her in person some day. She authors 3 blogs, a personal blog, photoblog and food blog. Download Web Sites

Once again my day started early. Nope not from watching movie that early. I had to go back to DTI to get another business permit. I should have done it over the web, but hey I want to go to Makati or I want to go out of the house for that matter. Anyway, Nelson accompanied me. He patiently waited at the parking area. Maybe he got bored a little so when he saw that there was a branch where we go for facials, he had his face done. I was done by 1 in the afternoon. It was still early so we decided to watch a movie (National Treasure) at Greenbelt after we picked up the lens he left at the Canon Center for repair. It's nice to go out once in a while with hubby, minus the kids. Job Search

The City of Lights
I think my daughter would even see Paris ahead of me. In two years time she will be graduating from high school, and her paternal aunt promised to gift her with Tours in Paris. She is looking forward to it already, even telling me that it won't be that long since the days come and go pretty fast. By then I will be helping them with their itinerary. I always go to the web whenever I make itineraries. I don't know, but I have always been successful in choosing the places to visit, things to do, etc based on my readings. And it is also online where I find great deals.

So you want me to dress up like this all the time? I was expecting for a big YES, but here's what he said. "Nah, I don't think so. I want you to be simple." Boo! This son of mine is quite conservative, but he knows how to appreciate though. While in the car on the way to the concert, we talked about him. N said that he thinks Josh would be quite strict with the woman in his life. I think he is, with his remarks and comments he should be getting someone who is really submissive. I hope that is just for now.**Looking 10 years younger is just the opinion of my son. It may not show in the photo, lol!
Discover the Ultimate Cure to Insomnia
I know some of you are wondering why I post or leave comments on your blogs between 12-2 in the morning. Do you want to know why? It's because I have not found a cure to insomnia. I've had insomnia for a number of years now. A lot of my friends have recommended that I take some form of medicine, but hey I don't want to be dependent to that. So the search is on for the cure until I stumbled upon this insomnia cure. You won't believe it but all you need to do is listen to the CD. It's a binaural beat recording, and according to what I read, binaural beat can produce relaxation. A lot have already testified that indeed it is the cure to sleeplessness, sleep deprivation and insomnia. To find out more about the cure, kindly visit http://www.sleep-deprivation-cd.com/.
My Soda Free Challenge Update
Monday, January 07, 2008
I started this soda-free challenge on December 19, 2007. And i'm mighty proud to say that I've been quite successful. I don't crave for COKE anymore. Since the 19th of December, I've had four "soda-free not" days. I've had soda on the second day since the challenge started. I totally forgot about the challenge honestly. I remembered it only when the glass was half empty. I had soda on Christmas and New Year. I don't think there is an explanation for that. With so much food, who does not need soda? Right? Right! lol Last Sunday (jan 6) was an exception again. We attended a wedding and I developed allergies with the food I ate. I had to go to the nearby drugstore to purchase medicine. While waiting for the medicine to take effect, I had to have sugar, so soda it is!Day 19: I had soda =( (january 6)
Day 20: Soda Free =) (january 7)
Baby Slings
Can you see how comfortable a baby can get when in baby slings? Too bad I didn't know about these baby slings/pouches when I had my kids. Had I known, then I will be the first one to use it. I really see a lot of advantages putting the baby in a sling. Of course you always want the baby to be always close to you, because you tend to worry too much. I don't think you will be able to do things effectively because your mind is always on the baby. With a sling attached to you, you will be able to do a few household chores. Kudos to the one who made these slings. It allows you to do things using both hands. Ooops, I almost forgot. They ship worldwide, so for those Moms outside the United States, you can avail of these slings.Dad Committed Adultery?
This is really a funny conversation that happened between me and my son Josh plus our driver. We were cruising Makati Avenue on our way home from Rockwell.Driver: Ma'am di ba dati one way ito? (This used to be one way)
Me: OO (yes)
Driver: Naalala ko nung isang wedding coverage namin ni Sir. Pinasok namin to, hinuli kami ng pulis. Buti mabilis mag-isip si Sir. Sinabi sa pulis late na sya sa kasal nya. Buti nalang naka americana sya. (I remember passing this street, the policeman stopped us and told us that it's one way. Good thing Sir immediately thought of something. He told the police that he was getting married and he was late already. Good thing he was wearing a suit.)
Josh: Mom, you didn't get offended when you heard that story?
Me: Why should I?
Josh: You know Daddy committed adultery.

When Will I See Rome?
Due to excitement, I started reading about Rome like must see places, recommendations on where to dine and wine, shopping areas and where to stay. I also found the website of two leisure travel experts Mauro and Paola. They are both locals, and being locals they know very well the city. They can recommend Rome hotels where you can stay, budget being considered. And not only that, they can show you strategically located hotels for your convenience. I have always believed that if you want to discover all the beautiful places of the countries you are visiting, you should be asking the locals. In all our travels, this has remained true, it has helped us save time and enabled us to see more places.

Desperadas
Friday, January 04, 2008
Late in the afternoon, I got an sms from Chairman Vanidosa asking if we can watch Desperadas with our 2 girls. Even if I had a slight headache that time, I still went because I really wanted to watch that film plus I wanted to be with Cuz. I really miss her a lot. Ever since she became the Chairman of her barangay, we hardly see each other. So every invitation I get from her, I grab. We had fun watching the movie, it was kinda hilarious.

Online Dating
Thursday, January 03, 2008
I used to ask them if they don't get scared of what they do, to think there is really some risks involve when you go into this thing. Then they shared with me that there is this website that does reviews of online dating. This allows them to compare all the leading matchmaking services by reading a detailed review of each of these dating personals sites. Yeah come to think of it, these are reputable dating sites. No wonder nowadays lots and lots of single men and women go online in these websites to find their one true love.

Reunion on New Year's Day

New Year's Day was spent in the house of my Auntie Glo. We had a family reunion. (my dad's side of the family) As usual food was overflowing, more than enough for everyone. We actually expected more guests, since my aunt invited more relatives. I brought a big tray of california maki, no I did not make it but I ordered it at Cold Storage. It was yummy! We had so much fun, games were prepared by my other cousins (2nd cousins). Darn The Ferrers either won 2nd or 3rd.
More pictures at my other blog.
