Happy 95th Birthday!

Monday, August 20, 2012

Photobucket We had a big celebration in honor of my father-in-law's 95th birthday. The party's theme was Vintage Glam and that was the best look we can come up with. The party was well attended just like the other parties we hold for him. We thank everyone for being a part of his 95th birthday. Looking forward to see you all again on his 100th birthday celebration.

Riding School

Tuesday, August 07, 2012

Horseback riding is becoming quite popular. During the summer some kids opt for horseback riding lessons to keep them busy. I'm not really sure if we have a lot of riding schools here but I'm pretty sure that I saw one. For parents who are in need of riding accessories, you can find breeches at TheEquestrianCorner.com. You can check it out and who knows everything you need can be found in that website. Horseback riding is fun, we tried it while we were on vacation. I was waiting for the kids to ask me if they can learn, but it never happened. Probably they were into other stuff at that time.

The 95th Celebration

My father-in-law is celebrating his 95th birthday in 2 weeks. We are already preparing for a celebration that is why we have been busy lately. We already have a theme and there are a few things that need to be ironed out. My sister-in-law is thinking of putting a fountain in one part of the ballroom and when I heard about it, I did a little research and found the best campania fountains suitable for the occasion. I need to show her the website which I haven't done yet. I don't know why I am so pre-occupied this days that I don't know what to do first. I keep forgetting a lot of things and I need to be constantly reminded. Gosh I think I need to take some vitamin supplement for that.

Tarzan...Do you Remember?

Photobucket The hubs went with me one time to Divisoria. He wanted to buy sets of cloth to be made into a suit. Part of his agenda was to buy hangers too. In other words we went our separate ways because I too had a different agenda. When we met in the agreed place, he was happily showing me a few pieces of Tarzan. To those ones who do not know what Tarzan is, it's a bubble gum quite popular when we were kids. Oh don't ask me when was that, but just to give you an idea, kids this generation do not know what it is anymore. Hehe, I gave it away but not as old as you think. Anyway, on my next trip to Divisoria I bought him 18 packs. Crazy, right? Well I just want to make him happy, as simple as that.

Blue Lane

If you happen to cruise in a highway, you will notice that there are two blue lines in one of the lanes. This is called the motorcycle lane. It was implemented a few months back due to a lot of vehicular accidents. Now I'm glad that they have added a new one and this is with regards to helmets. This time there is a prescribed one and if you don't fall in the requirements you wouldn't be given a seal of approval. I was curiouos even though I don't own a motorcycle, I went ahead and looked for what was prescribed. Through the course of my search I stumbled upon these hjc helmets sale and indeed covers all that is required. So for those people who are still on the look for a sturdy one, go ahead and check it out. Helmets are important because it protects the most important part. As they say never take it for granted.

The Collector

I remember seeing in Facebook a post regarding the various cellphones my friend had since he started using one. Amazing how he was able to keep all of them. I didn't keep mine instead I sell it when it's time to upgrade. I also heard that he uses it from time to time. Good for him that he is able to find batteries for his cellphone. I think he found a site that sells batteries for different models, old and new. He did mention that he was able to find lg phone batteries, I actually do not know why he singled it out, but yeah. Anyone of you who are in need of cellphone batteries for your old and new models, you know where to go.

Photobucket This is my new favorite. I know I am fat and I am not supposed to have it at all but what can I do? It really tastes oh so yummy. Thing is it's very hard to find. It's not like any other chips that you can find at every grocery. This reminds me to stock on my new snacks so I can have it anytime I want. Hello fatso!

Music Needs

Monday, July 09, 2012

I just want to share with you what I found in the internet. I was actually browsing some stuff that the kids might need when they go back to learning a musical instrument. They have not given up their love for it. It's just that they don't have the time to do it now because of some conflict with their class schedule. Anyway, if you are looking for some base speaker cabinet, why don't you consider aguilar sl112. I heard it's quite popular and it's recommended by some music teachers.

Dream Truck

The husband still mentions that he really likes to have this F150 truck. He's already got a Nissan but still his love for this f150 is still there. We almost got one, but for some reason it didn't push through. I even started looking for seat covers for ford f150 so that by the time it arrives all we need to do is put it on. Excited much, right? Who wouldn't? Have you seen how beautiful an f150? We can't' wait to make it more beautiful by dressing it up.

Nothing Like Mine

Saturday, July 07, 2012

I started loving tees again. I forgot about it for a long while because I was into girlie blouses or boyish shirts. I don't know what got into me that now I am crazy about tshirts. Whenever I am at the mall, I usually check out new ones. Sometimes I don't find anything. It's frustrating because I can't give in to my current passion, not that I want to buy a lot. It's probably time to go for custom tshirts. What I like about it is that I am the only one who has it since it's customized. I need not worry about getting across someone wearing the same kind. Sometimes it gets embarrassing not because you see a person wearing the same tee as you, but it's more like the side comments that is irritating. I don't know if you've experienced that.

Camp Out

Still spending time at the hospital. Kids call it camping out since I don't get to sleep at home. Hopefully everything goes well with God's grace. It's been more than 2 weeks. First week was really hard since we didn't get a private nurse. It was an all-nighter of sorts. I'm glad I survived it. Second week was not bad. The private nurse was a big help. He actually did all the "dirty work". We still wake up in the middle of the night if we sense something is wrong. I dunno but it's automatic on my part. I can't stand hearing him cough without me doing anything. I'm soooo glad that I have the compassion for sick people. Thank you Lord for giving me that.

Quick Dry

I wish they knew that there is such a thing as outdoor foam seats. This foam dries up pretty fast and is suitable for outdoor use. Can you imagine sitting on a chair outside not knowing that it got wet in the rain? That sucks real bad. Someone please introduce foam boat seating so that no incidents like this happen anymore. Good thing I came across this stuff so that next time it happens, then I have a suggestion to make. I won't think twice suggesting it so that no one will be victimize.

On Looking Good

Monday, June 11, 2012

It's best to look pretty every time! That's the way it should be but you know sometimes laziness kicks in. I just don't feel like "dressing up". Dressing up to me is being presentable regardless of where you are and what state you are in. Do you think this is possible? If it's not to you, then you should start working on it. It's one way of feeling good. Do you agree that even in your sleep you still have to look good? What if in the middle of the night there is an emergency or something? It helps if you're "dressed" like probably in a men's scrubs? I am saying this because there was a time that I made scrubs my jammies. It's very comfortable, keeps me warm in an a/c room. I think nowadays scrubs are not confined to hospital settings alone, it can be seen anywhere, right?

New Stuff Here and There

This post may seem odd when you are a regular in this blog. Well one way or another I have to write down stuff which I think may interest some of the people who might come across my blog. Bits and pieces of everything, who knows it can help, right? Add to that the things I learn too when I write about something I come across in the web. To be honest, this is actually the first time I came across these hygienic levers. Prior to this, I know nothing about it. I see it, alright but when you ask me what it's called I can't answer you. Well at least now I know what that thing is called. You see it on the floor a lot since it is used to stabilize objects, machines in particular. I gathered that there are different types, now it all depends on your requirement.

The Cable Car Ride

Photobucket Finally on my 3rd visit to Singapore I was able to take the cable car. Honestly I got a bit scared especially when I started seeing the the expression painted on the faces of my kids. I saw terror in her eyes specially. She was holding on for dear life, I'm glad she survived the ride and was able to take the cable car again back to Vivo City but this was another story. It was more scary on our way back, seemed like the car wasn't stable at all. I think it was due to the winds. It gets windy in the early evenings, right? Anyway, I think they still enjoyed the view or let's just put it this way, that's one list off their bucket list if there is any.

When You Don't Know What to Say

Thursday, May 31, 2012

Sometimes we just don't know what to say. Words aren't enough to express what we truly feel. Do you sometimes feel that? I do and I am glad that I am not the only one. In times like this, what do you normally do? I have some suggestions, and one of it is getting something from GiftBaskets.com for sympathy basket ideas. I think it would make a person feel a little better or being loved after some terrible news. I know it sounds a little weird but let's face it. I would be happy getting something like that or at least it would make me feel better even for a short time. Our agenda here is to temporarily take away the sadness even if it's just for a little while.

Quit Playing Games...Not

Gaming is our thing! I think everyone else in this house is into it, except the head of the family. I don't know but that is how we spend our spare time. There are times that we get too engrossed and can't be bothered but I know it's kinda wrong. I am doing something about it though and hopefully the rest will follow. I am just glad that we have gaming computers, even if we quit playing it can still benefit us. I am talking about the speed and the graphics...nothing beats! But I don't think someone can quit though, minimize perhaps. Yeah, someone has to since it's gonna be the opening of classes soon!

My Treasure Box

I seriously want to have it. If only I can have it as a Mother's Day present then I'd be glad. I first found about it in the net. It's pretty cool, somewhat mind boggling. It's a challenge actually because you can't just open it just like that. I am talking about a puzzle box. I want to convert it to a jewelry box actually wherein I am the only one who can open it. It would make a wonderful present too. I wonder if my friends would appreciate it if I give them one. I think they will, will ask them to convert it to treasure boxes too. Cool idea, right?

I love her for conquering her fears and I also love the fact that she cooperates. We are both hoping that we will be sent home soon, hopefully any time soon. We've been here since Monday, that makes 6 days in the hospital already. Nope, I am not complaining in fact I am happy that we were able to bring her right away before any complications occurred.

He Broke His Back

He is hard headed at times and I can understand why. He's used to hard life and being "lazy" is just not in his bones. Now he is wearing back braces and he is somewhat used to it already. I remember the first few days where he's really argue with us because he feels uncomfortable with it. Now we don't need to remind him to wear it. It gets to be automatic whenever he wakes up. Hopefully he doesn't get to wear it that long.

Now I have every reason to try this tanning machine, who knows this will be the solution to me wanting to get a tan. I need to try on new stuff every now and then and not just confine myself to things that I have tried doing already. Life is short, try everything as long as you can afford it. Make the most out of your life, do things that will make you happy. I've been trying to do this, so life to me is always bliss.

So What's Yours?

I will probably start the very minute I go out of the country. Mine is just a simple passion, it does not necessarily have to be antique, a beautiful and unique one will do. Anyway, for those ones who have a passion for coins, I wanna share with you the site on where to buy silver coins. You can check it out anytime since this is an online site. I know a lot of people who are into this kind of passion, and I can understand why they want this so much. It's actually an investment more than a passion or should I say this kind of passion is turning to be an investment. Any which way, to me this is one of the perfect passion to have.

Music...

Wednesday, March 28, 2012

My kids are musically inclined. How come they can't get to master an instrument? My youngest wanted to learn violin, and I did send him to a music school. My eldest wanted to learn guitar, sent her to school too. They are able to play a piece or two but after that they lose interest. Are they distracted or what keeps them from learning? I remember the time when my eldest told me her desire to study guitar. Of course I got excited. I grew up learning an instrument so I want my kids to be the same way too. Anyway, I started asking around for a very good guitar. They all seemed to have a general answer. Why don't you check parker guitars. So I did! Too bad it wasn't available at the country where I'm staying so I got another brand. I am still hoping that they will continue with the desire to learn music. My youngest has expressed his desire to learn the keyboards, so we'll see.

Website I Call My Own

Wednesday, March 07, 2012

I started blogging in 2005. No, I was not paying for hosting. At that time I knew nothing about it. I had it hosted for free. There came a time though that I wanted my own domain name. I wasn't contented with the free hosted one, not because it's free but like I said I wanted to own it. I realized too that it was very affordable to get paid hosting which has a lot more advantages. It's a good thing I found the best best web hosting company. They were very accommodating with all the questions that I had for them. You see I am clueless with such stuff that I didn't know about it. I asked help from them about migrating my old posts and they gladly assisted me. Whenever I have questions, they are always on the rescue which I really appreciate. All issues on my website were fixed right away. I am really satisfied with their service. This is very important because you need support once in a while especially if you are not familiar with how website works. Now I am very happy with the decision I made a couple of years back. I can definitely say that I am earning more.

Box It Up

Monday, March 05, 2012

Are you moving any time soon? If you are, then let me share with you my experience on moving. I will never do the same mistake again. I didn't hire a mover, we did it on our own. We didn't even have the proper boxes for all the stuff. I know, call me el cheapo and I wouldn't disagree. I have learned my lesson though and I promise never to do the same mistake again. If ever we will move again, I'll make sure that I will order Cheap Moving Boxes for all the stuff that need to be boxed. Yes, there are affordable moving boxes that are available. Don't be like me, I skipped buying boxes thinking it was expensive. I never thought that it could be this cheap. Had I known, I could have avoided breaking a lot of stuff during the move. Not only that, I was forced to fix the house right away because of the things I see everywhere. Can you imagine the stress that I went through. I could have stored some stuff in these boxes for moving and probably put it out later when everything is in proper place. It would have been a very organized move. It helps a lot when it's an organize one because moving itself is already a headache, how much more if it wasn't done properly, right? Like I said, I learned my lesson already. Next time I will not have second thoughts of buying those boxes, anyway I can still use it after the move. It's going to be worth it especially if it's put to good use.

Does it work the same was as the bingo game I know? I know there is a slight change, but one thing for sure, it's still gonna be a lot of fun. This is going to be different compared to the traditional bingo game that we know of, Let us all enjoy and have a good time.

Gardening...Please be Good

Thursday, February 09, 2012

I love nature, green makes me smile! I grew up in a family who loves nature, plants in particular. The garden in my parents' house is still maintained and it has been more than 30 years. The whole family loves gardening. I remember taking turns with my sibling caring for our plants. We each had our assignment to do. I think our love for plants came from our Dad. He loves gardening a lot and he is a green thumb. My other elder sister took after him. She used to maintain a garden store in the US and it was doing pretty well. Now she does backyard gardening and you will be impressed when you see her garden. She just knows how to fix it. I will need to take a lesson or two from her so that I will be successful in my gardening too. I don't know, but I don't think I am a green thumb. Plants die on me, probably the condition at home too because we don't really have a backyard to begin with. I just do potted gardening. It's a good thing everything is readily available in the world wide web and I found this gardening tips which I can make use when I again attempt to do it.

I Have a History

Friday, January 20, 2012

I've been reading a lot of stuff lately and I normally do it online. I'm glad that almost everything is readily available with just a few clicks. Health related topics is one of my favorite articles to read. Ok I admit, I am scared of so many things especially when it comes to my well-being and that of my family. Health wise, one can really never be healthy. This is just my opinion so don't kill me, ok? One way or another we find something wrong with our system. It's probably due to our food intake. It's fun to eat so there is a tendency to overlook the kind of food we eat. My family has a history of hypertension so I am definitely a candidate of a rising blood pressure. Now I am looking into this l-arginine for blood pressure , I might consider making this part of my diet. I want to lower the risk of a heart attack or a stroke at least if I can't completely eliminate it. It's prevention on my part. I still have kids to raise and I can afford to die soon. The difference is that before I can purchase whatever I want in more or less 5 writing jobs, but now it takes a hundred years before I can do so.

What is wrong with me? Why do I want to upgrade my mobile phone every so often? Are you the same way too? Sometimes I hate myself, sometimes I don't because when I think of it this is my only indulgence. Anyway here is the htc desire hd I saw online and I really like it. I have a friend who owns one and she says it's simply the best. Now it makes me want to change my current unit, what do you think?

Cool Stuff for Trade Shows

Friday, December 30, 2011

We used to do bridal fairs a couple of years back. I wish I had discovered these Trade show display cases because this can really be put to good use. I just know that this is what we need. We could have saved more space for the people to freely move, yes our booth was always full. I'm not bragging but yeah we had lots of clients when we first started. It's just sad that the husband does not want to do any of this anymore. I think he got tired and wants to try out other stuff. Being the supportive wife (ahem) that I am, I will try and encourage him to do good in whatever new endeavor he wants to go into.

Officially Sick!

I was already a bit sick when we left for Baguio about 4 days ago. We only stayed there for 2 nights and it made me more sick. I thought my cough and colds would go away coz I was already taking meds for it. But lo and behold it got worse that I don't need to buy firecrackers for the New Year. Ewwww I know but what better way to describe my cough but that :D

Anyway, we enjoyed our Baguio trip. It was stress-free. I'd love to do this yearly in fact we already agreed that we'd do it every after Christmas. We don't really get to travel that much as a family so this is pretty much a welcome treat.

We Love Music

Monday, December 05, 2011

I was just talking about how I loved music when I was younger and that I think my kids took that after me. Both of them have made known their desire to learn an instrument or two. They already started and I am just waiting for the next instrument they want to learn. I think I see the daughter more interested in the Yamaha Drums while my boy is pretty much into strings. But I can also see that he wants to play the drums. I wish the husband played even one instrument. It would be a wonderful bonding time with all of us playing an instrument each.

Golf Course GPS

GPS goes to the golf course. Isn't that cool? If you want to have one, maybe you can get hold of the golf gps finder which I heard is one of the best. GPS in itself is already cool and I can't get over the fact that it can be used in a golf game. Wow! Talking about accuracy and all. This will probably give you the edge over other players if you have one. I wonder if every player has this one and if it's even an must have. Sorry I don't know the answer to that since none of us play golf. You can probably tell me, right?

A Hospital Scene

Monday, November 21, 2011

I recently watched this series on television (sorry the title escapes me at the moment)and there's this scene that caught my attention. It was actually a hospital scene and I couldn't help but wonder if we have it. I have not been too many hospitals here but with the 2 hospitals that we often go to, I have not seen them use computer carts. I find it cool and this is probably the reason why I particularly remember that scene. It's so convenient too, with just a few clicks everything can be recorded and retrieved. Anyway, I will let you guys know if we have it here already or vice versa.

I love it when F21 goes on sale. This one was not announced though. I didn't have any idea that they were having it. I just happened to meet with N at Megamall and I couldn't let the opportunity of checking F21 pass. I wasn't planning on buying either but how can you resist a double 50% off, right? Yes some items were sold at 50% plus another 50% off when you pay at the counter. Not only that items sold at 50% off get another item, so it's buy 1 take 1. Oh sheeesh, am I making sense? Anyway I got that skirt and a swimwear top for a little over P200 only. What a great deal! I wish they had more items that was on sale though. I know I am asking for too much :P

The Smell of Coffee Wakes Me Up

I used to go to Starbucks a lot for my coffee, but then I realized that it leaves a hole in my pocket. That's when I decide to purchase my own coffee maker. I am happy to say that I am one of the proud owners of these krups coffee makers. It's so easy to use and I can say it's durable too. I had mine for more than 5 years now and it's working just fine. I can say too that it will last another 5 years and even beyond. This is something to look forward to, imagine waking up in the mornings to a house that smells good coffee, simply the best!

The Everyday Scrub

Wednesday, November 02, 2011

Wow! I see a lot of nurses everyday, not! Relax, it's just that I see a lot of people wearing nursing scrubs. It's no longer confined to nurses this days. I don't have anything against it and I can't blame the spa people for deciding to use those scrubs too, it's comfortable. I myself have used it for sleeping instead of the traditional jammies, like I said it's comfy. So there, that's probably the reason why not only nurses sport the scrubs nowadays. One more thing, have you noticed that it comes in different colors already? Boring white is now out of the question.

I Want an iPhone, Shouts Everyone

With the latest ios update which allows one to use the iMessage (this is similar to BBM), a lot are asking, where can I buy iphone? I can understand why almost all want to get a hold of an iPhone. I was one of them and I am waiting and wanting an upgrade. But I don't think I'll get the current upgrade, I'll just probably wait for iPhone5 to come out. When is that you ask? Real soon, you know how the apple people come out with products. Sometimes I can't catch up anymore. Do you feel the same way?

I have another form of communication with my online bff. Online because we still haven't met in person. But even if that is the case, we still treat each other like we are blood sisters. I think I've known her since 2006 or 2007 via blogging. I stumbled upon her site and left a comment. From then on there's no stopping of our friendship. I am so looking forward to meeting her and her family probably next year. Just thinking about it makes me excited!

What Do you Think, Mom?

I find my daughter cute. She's very thoughtful especially to the bf. She inherited that trait from me. I don't know but I think girls are generally thoughtful. Recently she asked for suggestions regarding the gift for boyfriend birthday. She mentioned a few items which she thinks the bf would like. Sometimes I would go, I think that is too expensive, remember you don't have work yet. Yes, I can tell her those things after all we have a very close relationship. Besides what I'm saying is exactly correct. Why spend on things which you can't afford just yet? I think the bf would understand.

But no, photos as intended to be shared. Maybe I should create a slide show of all the wonderful photos I have and post it on Facebook for all my friends and loved ones to see. Yeah, I think I'll do that. I have to limit my game time though and really put effort on putting all these photos together.

That's because it's buy 1 take 1. I could have gotten more, but that was what (40 boxes) I can afford at that time. I want to buy 20 more boxes and I am hoping that it is still on sale. It's Rare

I'm not really sure if there are still coin collectors nowadays. Do they still exist? I'm sorry but I don't know anyone who collects coins. My FIL had coins and he gave us 1 each but I don't consider him as a collector. Anyway the reason why I am asking is because I recently came across these morgan dollar coins over the internet. Based on what I read, these are rare coins simply because they produced very limited supply. So if you are one of those who are into coins, I think you should get one of these. I don't know really, but yeah can you please let me know if what I am thinking is right? You know better than I do.

When I looked at it again, at least I can now spot the difference.

It's more like calorie in and out. I really need to control my food intake, otherwise nothing will happen. But how do I do that? I really do not have any idea, an appetite suppressant perhaps? Perfect for my Brows

Photobucket Woot! I finally found the perfect eyebrow pencil or is it even a pencil? They sell those at Faceshop. I frequent that shop, but it's the first time that I've seen that product. I am happy that they came up with one since I have been in search for the perfect match for my brows.

Photobucket I also love the fact that it has a spoolie at the other end. Very useful indeed since it blends the harsh lines created by the pencil. Just a little upward motion and you are all set to go! I bought only one but I need to buy some more since the "lead" is just about 2 inches. I normally do my brows everyday. I need to remind myself to stock up otherwise I would really feel bad if the store runs out.

Entrance Exam Season

I brought my son to UP Diliman today. He was scheduled to take the UPCAT. He was a bit worried and didn't have enough confidence. I just told him to do his best. It was a 4-hour examination, and he said it was very hard. He left items he didn't know, no room for guessing he says. I asked him if he was sure about his answers, and he said he was 90 percent sure. Thing is he left a lot of items blank too, so I don't really know his chance of passing. If you ask me how come he left a lot of items blank, it's because it's right minus wrong. No wild guesses here, only educated guesses, he says. I am still hoping though that he makes it, who knows, right?

Then I saw this counter where they sell e cig. I noticed that every time I pass by that area, there are always lots of people. I got curious, so I checked. Little did I know that this would be the start of it. I bought him his first e cig and there was no turning back. What I am expecting from him now is to lower the number of milligrams in the "juice". Hopefully it'll be 0 in no time.

Scorching Heat

I heard that summer in the US is really terrible this time. They are experiencing heat wave. Everybody is complaining, I read it in status updates in Facebook, in Twitter and even when I talk with my siblings. It must really be hot, and nobody likes scorching heat, right? I asked them if their Ductless Air conditoners are working fine and they said yes. I guess it must really be that hot. Now they are all looking forward to winter. Well this means only one thing, they'd choose winter over heat wave. Poor people in America. But you know what's funny? Kids seem to enjoy the heat. None of them are complaining in fact they are still out there doing their own thing and enjoying summer. And maybe when they feel the heat, they would come rushing inside their houses and turn on the mini split air conditioner they have. It gives some relief I tell you. This is the reason why I have ductless air conditioner which has an Energy Star Approval installed in each room. I think it's a must for every household living in the tropics...well only if one can afford to buy it and of course to pay for the electricity. But I have rules when it comes to the use of it. I only allow them to use when it's really very hot, otherwise I tell them to just settle using the electric fan. But at nights we really turn it on so that everyone will be well rested. Hhmm, this gives me an idea, why not buy one that has inverter next time so that electric consumption will be lessened. With this, maybe I can extend the use of the a/c. It's nice to start the day when you feel that you have slept really well.

Not Just Eyewear

Thursday, July 28, 2011

When my kids were in elementary, I made a friend with one of Moms in school. You see I used to frequent the school a lot especially on lunch breaks because I bring them freshly cooked food every time. Apparently, this Mom I made friends with does the same. We became close and eventually became very good friends. She is an optometrist by profession and her clinic is just near the school. I used to spend a lot of time in her clinic while waiting for the kids to be dismissed. It was there that I was introduced to Oakley products. I was exposed to their eyewear collection more, truth be told. I wasn't really aware that they had more stuff like these oakley bags. You see I am not really a mall person and if ever I go to the malls I go straight to the shops where I am suppose to buy the things that I need. I seldom go around because it's kinda tiring if you know what I mean. Anyway, going back to their bag collection, they do have a large array of bags. I think every bag that we need, they have it in their collection. I had a nice time browsing through their collection. At least I know what brand to buy whenever I need a specialty bag. I do have one in mind already at its the carry on roller bag. I think I'll be needing it for travels. It's the perfect size actually. Then I'm gonna try and save up for the medium and large ones. And there's a large collection of oakley backpacks to choose from too. I wonder if my boy would prefer using backpacks this time. I think he should since he'll be in college soon. I see a lot of college students use backpacks whenever I bring my eldest daughter to school. When we spot a really nice one, my daughter and I would really wonder what brand it is. Then we'd secretly wish to have it in our bag collection...not that we have too many. But yeah, girls just can't get enough bags and shoes too for that matter. I just don't know with other girls who are not into it, but I'm pretty sure they are into something else. But seriously, why can't girls have enough bags and shoes? Is it really that insatiable? And there's one more silly question...is it hereditary? I think my daughter inherited such a trait (trait?) nah, I think it's more of liking from me.

Anyway, the reason I am mentioning this is to give you an idea on what to get your Mom on Mother's Day. I'd vote for electronics. I know she will be happy getting one. Now that he has chosen this sport, I will let him wear ankle support basketball. I don't want him to hurt his ankles. I've seen a lot of boys hurt their ankles and I think this is the number one injury when you play basketball because it involves a lot of jumping. But be very careful though when you choose what support to wear, pick one that fits comfortably, one that will not restrict your movements when you start playing.

But I have learned that it is important for a person to find the right coverage, one that suits his need. Now how do you do that? Most people ask for assistance from people in the know. They say that it's time consuming going through all of it and yet the coverage they need is not met. But these people who are experts when it comes to this field can give you the right coverage and can also tackle your Medicare part D plan. Proud Campbell Owner

I can't believe I now own a pair. I made a reservation at The Forum (SM Makati) several months ago. I left my name and contact number and the style I intend to buy. I never got a call from them. When I asked them about it, they said that probably the sales person wasn't able to put my name on the list. Ok, forgiven. Forgiven because even if my name wasn't on the list, they still accommodated me. They gave me the Lita (black) that I asked them to reserve for me. Thank you very much.

I love the shoes, it's sky-high alright, but it's very comfortable, not at all ill-fitting. You know that it's really worth paying for the price. Surprisingly it's even cheaper to buy it here in the Philippines, I wonder why. Is is probably because Philippines holds a special place in Jeffrey's heart?

So How Tall Are You?

Tuesday, June 07, 2011

The husband has just wrapped up his photo shoot for a magazine. This is not really the first time that I've seen tall people but it seems like they get taller and taller everyday. These batch of models are really tall and they are very young. I wonder if they were given hgh releaser. Sometimes I wish I was as tall as them or even half as tall. I know, I am wishing for the impossible since I am past the age already. Well my kids have a few years left for them to grow tall, so maybe I'll just wish for them, teehee!

Bucket for the Daughter

Thursday, June 02, 2011

I finally finished the bucket hat that my daughter requested. If you notice part of the crown has a different color, it's because I ran out of yarn. I couldn't find the color that I used anymore so it left me no choice but to pick the closest color. It looks strange, half of the crown looks dirty including the brim. Hopefully the crown with the light color won't be seen when worn. Tsk, I failed in this project.

Dog Stuff

Sunday, May 29, 2011

Big dogs, small dogs, it does not matter anymore. I see them around all dressed up. I say it's cute because it really is. They turn a lot of heads. I guess it all started when this movie about dogs getting dressed was shown. Sorry the title escapes me at the moment. It was in that movie where I saw unique dog collars. As a lot of people would term it as, to die for. I wonder if the dogs feel the same way, hehe. You'd really be surprised how dog lovers want to dress up their pets nowadays. There are different kinds of collars you see nowadays, from the traditional ones to pimped ones. I love collars pimped with gems in different colors. It gives the dog a certain character. Oh, I don't know if you are familiar with Martingale dog collars, I heard it's durable and comfortable. I need to get one for our shih tzu. This reminds me to bring my dog for grooming too. The grooming salon probably carries that brand. Diego, our GSD needs to have a new collar too. I wish they have one I like from these big dog collars. I want his collar pimped too. I think it's cute, a big dog with a collar that is filled with gems in different colors. Don't be deceived though, he is still tough as he can be.

I see wellness and beauty promoted all over. This only means one thing, people are getting conscious each day. Everybody wants to look young, pretty and sexy. I myself have started doing fitness simply because I want to improve my lifestyle. I do want to lose all those unwanted weight too so I'm burning it out in the gym. Some people resort to diet pills. I am not against it but then again one has to be careful when taking it. Claims may not be true at all so if I were you I would go and check www.adipexdietpills.org and all those sites that does reviews of these diet pills. You may pick a thing or two, or better yet before you decide to take on anything, a doctor must be consulted.

She Needs Power Heat Soon

Saturday, May 21, 2011

I wonder if my sister had her heater fixed already. I know it's going to be summer soon and there is really no use for a heater. Well I just remembered that she is suppose to have it fixed because while going through some websites in the internet, I came across this infrared heater. Then I suddenly remembered, did she have it fixed or did she just buy a portable one? I still have not asked her. I haven't talked with her yet (skype) and hopefully I don't forget to ask her when I get the chance.

My New Pair of Adidas

I'd like to thank my SIL for this nice pair of Adidas training shoes. This was her Mother's Day gift to me. I bought it in Hong Kong when we went there a last week. Whenever I'm there, I see to it that I bring home a pair. The styles there are more beautiful in my opinion. There are even styles that do not come out here in the Philippines like the pair I bought a couple of months back (November). Oh did you notice my nail polish? It matches my shoes. This is OPI's Shatter. It's cool!

Dad's Favorite Sport

We are celebrating Father's Day this June. I miss my Dad so much. I have accepted the fact the he has gone to be with the Lord. It's been 5 years already. I am a certified Daddy's girl and everyone in the family knows that. They would tease me alright, but I know they are never jealous of me.

Anyway, one thing I miss about Dad is the time spent playing ping pong. He was the one who taught us how to play ping pong. He was a champion when it comes to this game. He would always practice at home so that he can defend his title every time there is a tournament in their office. I see ping pong tables being set-up at their office whenever there is a game. I would gladly watch and was always proud whenever Dad wins. Yes, he is that good in ping pong. I wonder why none of us kids went into this sports?

Mobile Phone Watching

Thursday, May 12, 2011

My daughter and I have this habit of observing what kind of cellphones people use in every country that we visit. Not that we've been to many countries, but we already have an idea what each country go for in terms of usage and style. I can't help but notice that a lot of people in Hong Kong are using htc virgin. You can also find it in most stores. I did a little reading about this mobile phone and I gathered that the speed is really good. It also has a high resolution camera and a high definition video recorder. You can actually get by even without your camera and video camera.

Mother's Day at Hong Kong Disneyland

I spent Mother's Day at Hong Kong Disneyland with the kids. To make it more memorable, they dared me to ride the space mountain. I've been to HK Disney twice already and they never got me to ride. With too much prodding, I agreed even if I really do not know whether I'd survive it. Surprisingly it felt good and I'd do it over and over again. It wasn't as bad as I thought. The turns and drops were awesome, it added more excitement to the ride. It was a smooth ride too and IMO it won't cause any neck injury. So yeah, I rode the space mountain and I survived!

Reviews on Supplements

Monday, May 02, 2011

I guess almost all who go to the gym take supplements one way or another. I am actually talking about people who lift weights. I guess majority of them do, although I do not know which particular brand they take. I do not know too which brands are effective so if you ask me about tren xtreme I really do not know what to answer. But you know what, there are dozens of reviews about the product so if I were you if you are really interested in taking it, might as well read whatever you can find on the internet. That's what I actually do whenever I am interested in a product.
