It's Free...Why Not?

Who does not want a good website ranking? My other website used to have a page rank of 5, then it went down to 0, well I'm glad it did not get n/a, heh. Anyways, I'm looking into this free seo service I came across while surfing the net. It's free and it does not hurt to try. Why do I need to pay when there are free ones being offered? Like I said it does not hurt to try. I really look forward for my websites to figure out in the google's ranking like they used to, so I'd do anything...for free that is.
