Ellgy Plus

Thursday, September 30, 2004

I don't have a cracked heel, but i need to moisturize, soften, and soothe my dry heel...i've tried Earth Therapeutics' Tea Tree Oil (Foot Repair Balm), and Body Shop's Peppermint Cooling Pumice Foot Scrub, but both didn't work. I'm on my 3rd day using Ellgy and it seems to work fine with me, as i see a lot of improvement...thanks to my friend for introducing me to Ellgy...well you guys can try it...it could be the solution to your problem too

Embarrassed

Friday, September 24, 2004

I volunteered to bring my guy friend to the airport last night, so he dropped by our house and we had dinner before proceeding to the airport...Josh strikes again...He goes like..."You look like a bakla (gay)"...Shucks, i didn't know what to say at that time, as i was surprised by what he said...gaining back my composure...i told him that if he does not have anything nice to say, he should keep his mouth shut...and i demanded that he apologize to our visitor...and he goes..."i'm sorry, but i think you still look like one...Oh man!!!! what will i do with this kid????

Pasta and Buffalo Wings

I have not cooked for a long time...i only cook on special occasions like Christmas and New Year...maybe i was inspired by the foodblogs i have read lately...

Here's my version of Pasta with Taba ng Talangka (Tiny Crab Fat)

Btw, this is the first time im doing this...i didnt realize that there's no need to use cheddar cheese :-) i sauteed everything in olive oil and placed a few drops of lemon juice...i also placed Knorr Pork Cubes to add more taste, and it worked...My kids loved it...they thought it was take out food from Cibo
(the restaurant we always go to when we crave for pasta)

My version of the Buffalo Wings

I coated the chicken wings and deep fried it, after which i cooked it again in the special sauce that i made...

I havent perfected it yet...well there's always room for improvement...my consolation? The kids appreciated what i did, as i didnt expect them to like the pasta.

(there is really a diet mode) since you are trying to lose weight...oh well, i havent thought of that...maybe my son knows the agony of losing weight, coz he keeps on asking me if its harder than the usual (i do training mode)...indeed it is!

My Trip

Tuesday, September 21, 2004

I enjoyed my trip a whole lot...it was a treat for me too...My mom and I left for Iloilo (her hometown) at 5:10 am, Saturday, aboard Cebu Pacific...

Took us 1 hr and 30 mins to reach our destination...we stayed in this cute pink house (my neice's)...

According to my mom, Tigbauan is a sleepy town...well i cannot really blame her, the last time she was there was like 18 years ago...so we were both surprised and happy to find out that it was such a progressive town...and a very clean one too...roads were concrete...i was able to drive and bring around my mom to meet with her other relatives...

I completely forgot that i was on a diet...or did i? hehe...anyways, since im there i have to try each and every specialty like:

The Original La Paz Batchoy

We had dinner over at Breakthrough...(by the shore)

Food was real good there...was pigged out again *guilty*...well entirely forgot that i was on diet...had oysters, grilled squid and chicken, kinilaw (raw fish with coconut milk, green mango, onions, chili), crabs, etc...

And i had this for dessert...halo-halo

Their jeepney looked a little different from the ones we have here in manila...i should say that it's more beautiful and spacious...

Religion plays a major part in the lives of the people there...why do i say this? Well you see, my aunt is a protestant...since her husband(a catholic) was buried in the catholic cemetery, the family decided that she should be buried right beside her husband...would you believe, somebody called the Catholic church, informing them that my aunt couldnt be buried there since she is not a catholic...anyways, after much convincing, they allowed it...and while we were at the cemetery, somebody (geez...worst, he was even one of the relatives) made a scene with his speech...
he was trying to stop the pastor (thinking that we were to have a service)...tsk, tsk, i was really dumbfounded...he could just have asked secretly if we were having a service...but he chose to speak...in front of all his relatives...oh well...

Dance Revolution

Thursday, September 16, 2004

I have to lose my unwanted fats in 30 days...yes 30 days...so i dont need to have a gown made...I was asked to be one of the principal sponsors in the wedding of Bona and Mike (Bona being the youngest sister of one of my closest friends Angie)

I have to double time on my workout, especially the abs section...my my...i dont know, ive been doing sit ups but nothing is happening...i am still bloated...huhuhu...i have this abdoer at home so i thought this would help...but i forgot how to go about it...i had to watch the vhs...too bad, i didnt know that our vhs player wasnt working (the tape got stuck)...geez i have to bring it to the service center...anyways, i tried surfing the net for some instructions, but this is what i found out instead...that all these machines doesnt help you in burning the unwanted fats...oh...really?...it only helps strengthen/build up the muscles...so no wonder...it's only thru cardio/aerobic exercises, and you have to do it the moment you wake up in the morning (without any food intake) so that you'd be burning the fats...so i thought of doing the dance dance revolution, instead of going to the gym.

Scooter

Sunday, September 12, 2004

We have been thinking of buying a scooter...my daughter Wisi is really dead set on having one...but she doesn't even know how to ride a bike...she developed this liking for scooters when we watched Hilary Duff's Lizzie McGuirre Movie...

so one afternoon, we went to this place where they sell scooters...and these are our choices...

Kymco Top Boy

Sym Jet Euro

Nelson's choice was the SYM, while me and my kids chose Kymco...so thats 3 over 1...yahoo we won...but the big question is...WHEN?

Actually everybody liked VESPA...but this was ruled out...its a bit pricey...huhuhu

I Love To Go Around In My Car

Friday, September 10, 2004

Today I went to the office of the Phil. Navy at Roxas Blvd. to deliver the plane tickets i got for my friend...

Since Manila is synonymous to traffic, i get the chance to toy around with my camera phone...bad huh...but i cant help it...since i usually drive by myself...i have to find ways to keep myself busy, otherwise with the kind of traffic, i can probably doze off...hehe

while waiting for the traffic light to turn green, i thought of taking a shot of my nail art...which never fails to get compliments...here's a clear pic of the nail art :-)

i happen to pass by my alma mater, UNIVERSITY OF STO. TOMAS

Luneta or Rizal Park, a famous tourist spot...

and of course, ROXAS BLVD. i really love this stretch...

and oh, i took all those photos while driving...i just love my sony ericsson k700i...i dont need to bring along my chunky digital camera anymore...
