I love you my son, and happy birthday.

You are my perfect companion in my campaign to work on my abs. It's been a problem for more than a decade already. I keep promising that I'd start working on it, but after a few days, I get lazy. And look what I have become, 17 pounds heavier. I look good despite the weight gain, but it all went to the wrong places if you know what I mean. Nobody wants a bulging stomach and I just hate the fact that I have it. I have to work double time if I want it a little flat, not super flat, but just a little flatter.

Isn't it pretty? Oh forget about the foot, it's the footwear I am talking about. I saw that on our way to Church one Sunday. But I first went to attend the Sunday Service before going down to purchase it. And you know what's good about it? It's dirt cheap. Got it only for about Two hundred fifty pesos, and that's roughly a little above five dollars. I've actually learned my lesson. I'm no longer buying expensive footwear, it gets destroyed over time especially if you don't get to wear it often.

I am thankful for the joy my kids bring. They are the apple of my eye and they are my bundle of joy. I can't imagine what life will be without them. They just bring me so much joy and I truly appreciate it. They make life worth living.

When I saw the shorts (almost the same as what I'm wearing) in the display window of Zara, I immediately remembered my son's old navy shorts given to him by my sister. Nope he didn't get to wear it in fact the tag was still there when I decided to wear it. Then I went thru Ish's locker and found that plaid top. I think that was given by a uncle when he visited the Philippines. Anyway I got the inspiration to wear my so called "boyfriend" clothes when I saw the display. It doesn't really look bad after all. Next time I will be experimenting with the top. I already have an idea what to wear with the shorts next time.

I can't believe it! I'm so late in putting up the tree compared to last year. I had it set up early October. I had a not so purple tree last year, and this year I decided to do a combination of colors for the ornaments. I combined red, purple, silver, and fuchsia. What do you think of the combination? Last year's was quite simple though, but this year it's quite colorful.

How can I stop FBing when there is yet another new game that I am addicted to. I know you know what I am talking about since most of us are hooked in these cool FB games. First, pet society, then came restaurant city, farmtown, farmville and now cafe world. What's next? I don't know, but this time I will not promise not to play coz I always end up eating my words. I am not complaining though, coz these games kept my mind from thinking of unthinkable things that is happening in my life. These games are still a blessing you know.

I am playing FarmVille too. Gosh! The games you find in Facebook are really addicting. It eats up our time if we don't have discipline. Funny how I think about the crops that are about to expire or get rotten. It sucks when you can't get online. It's actually fun to play, you cultivate not only lands but your artistic side too. If you see all those farms in Facebook, you'll be amazed. It's really pretty. I'm going to make my farms as beautiful too. If it takes spending more time in FB I think I would, as I don't have the resources to buy coins, heh.

I made those today. I say I because initially it was daughter's idea to bake. She sent me SMS when she learned that classes were suspended due to heavy downpour asking me if we could bake together. So I said yes. She did help with the hand mixer, but it was not even 2 minutes. She said she was tired, duh!
Anyway those are Chewy Oatmeal Choco Chip Cookie. And it's real chewy and yummy. It's not that sweet since I adjusted the measurement of the sugar, I didn't follow the one in the recipe book. Oh that's not the only one I did today, I also made stir fried noodles for merienda (snacks).

Er...what is that knife for? Haha like I want to slit someone's neck, or do I? Seriously I don't wanna waste my time. Those knives are actually in my Wish List. Uh-huh I want to own that before I die. I don't want any ordinary knife especially now that I get to taste some sort of a culinary experience. Yep it must be the knife, those julienne cut are so accurate, haha!

When MIL first heard of it, the first person that came into her mind was me. Well she admitted though that she wanted to take part in it too, but then her hands are full and she does not have the spare time for it. Anyway, I'm glad that I am a part of this. This is like a mobile school, a joint project of Quezon City under Ms. Joy Belmonte and ABS CBN. What are we learning? It's a dream come true for me, HOT and COLD kitchen. I'd like to think that this is a basic of what CULINARY ARTS is all about. It's actually exciting and I am surprised that I still have a lot to learn considering that I am the queen in our kitchen.

I was so sad upon learning the demise of my beloved President Cory Aquino. I have half expected it, but still. Anyway I was able to pay my last respect on a Monday, the first day of her wake at Manila Cathedral. The experience was all worth it despite the pouring of the rain. I am definitely proud that I was there and already a part of Philippine history. I was able to condole with her son Noynoy too (unexpectedly). He went out to thank the filipino people who sympathized with their family. As what I've written in that tarpaulin, President Cory, you will always be in my ♥

Meet Ish, my lovely daughter! That's how she looks now and is already in her last year in High School. She is now preparing for her college entrance exams and is doing her best to get into one of the best universities here in the Philippines.
I just love my relationship with her, she is my bestest friend. I can tell her anything and she can tell me anything too. I call it the best Mom-Daughter relationship. She does not think twice whether or not she will tell me what and how she feels, she is just open to me and I love her for that. I often remind her that it's best to tell me everything so I can guide her and remind her of things that are not really clear to her. Probably the reason why she can tell me everything is that I'm not an imposing Mom. I give suggestions, but in the end she still makes the decision. I'm just glad that she is guided by God with the decisions that she makes.

Initially it was just Ish and her aunt who's going to watch the concert. Ish was given the go signal to purchase the tickets and I accompanied her to buy it. There I decided that I wanted to watch too. Good thing Ish's Dad was kind enough to buy me a ticket. I'm glad I did even if we were located somewhere at the back where all you can see are heads of the people who came to watch the concert. Ish kept saying she has height issues. I had height issues too, but I came in my 5 inch heel. Don't worry it didn't kill my toes, I love wedge after all. Sound system was not so good, probably because I was used to watching foreign artists bringing with them their own band. There was even a time that I thought Nicole did a lip sync.

When I see something like this, do you want to know what comes to mind? Yeah, I want to have another baby. But at my age, it's just so impossible. I guess I will just wait ten to fifteen years for a grandchild. Oh no I don't want to think about it yet, my eldest daughter is only 15. Haha, this is what beautiful Baby Bedding can do. My imagination runs wild. But seriously, I wish I was able to find this beautiful bedding when I had my babies. Well not that my bedding was crap, it was actually beautiful too, but not as beautiful as what you see in the picture. It was not even complete. I had like what a 4-piece set? But this one is a twelve piece set, super complete. It's 100 percent cotton, very soft, something that will make your baby sleep comfortably. Look, I have some good news for you. If you happen to check babybeddingpalace.com, you'd surely be happy to find out that there is a 75 percent off sale that is going on. That's going to be a lot of savings and a great deal in itself. Remember you are buying one of the highest if not the highest quality handmade baby crib bedding set. This 12 piece set will make your nursery look all the more beautiful. It looks fancy and yet the price is just a fraction, can you beat that?

Oh going back to restaurant city...have you played this famous game over at FB? It's really fun and quite addicting as well. You want proof? I created another FB account just to have additional ingredients, haha. Just like Pet Society, I'm hooked. Actually there's one more game I'm playing, and it's nice too. Maybe I'll just share it with you in another entry, and of course I'll be posting photos too.

I'm excited to see my work...yep the one you see on the photos, incorporated in th gown of Nelson's niece. She'll be celebrating her 18th birthday and I volunteered to do the beadwork of her gown to make it all the more beautiful. I have not seen the finished product but according to the Mom of the debutante, it's really beautiful. I was the one who picked the design of both the gown and the cocktail dress and I accompanied them too to buy the fabric at Divisoria. Now I'm thinking, what am I in my past life?

It's Fashion Week once again and we had the chance to go and see it. Ish was really glad that she was able to join us this time, coz she wasn't able to watch last year's Fashion Week because of school. She was like, "Mom, I want that designer to do my gown when I turn 18." She has good taste, she picked a couple of gowns she wants to wear. I especially enjoyed Lyle Ibanez's collection, nope I wasn't able to take photos so I can't show you some of his collection. I can compare his designs to that of Marc Jacobs. Man he's really good. I love intricate beadworks of Michael Cinco's designs too.

It may sound funny but yeah we seldom have our photos taken as a family. Ironic right? To think that we are in the photography business. It's really my desire to sit out and have a pictorial one day. I don't like the kids to submit one and the same family photo in school each year. I demand for an official family portrait anytime soon. If you happen to see a lot of individual photos here, those are self taken portraits, yeah the one that you look silly taking your own photo. You see a lot of that everywhere, so it does not look silly anymore. It's a trend...do you agree?

Almost everyone I know play Pet Society. I love this game a lot and there's one more I like too, it's called Restaurant City. You'll often find me online at Facebook just to play these games. It's addicting, it's therapy for me too, a cure for boredom. So this is what keeps me busy nowadays. Oh if you want to add me for extra coins and ingredients, go ahead and pm me.

Eversince I stopped smoking in January of this year, I gained something like 10-14 lbs. I used to be around 94-96 lbs. and guess what? I'm now 108. My Mom likes it, and I guess a few more people like it too. They say that I look healthier now. I couldn't agree more! But, the thing is I hate my flabs especially in the tummy area. It's really bulging and I can barely fit in my size 0 jeans. This pushed me to do my daily exercise and I'm following the vid that you see above. She has all the exercises I need for my different body parts. Now, shall we?

We had a great time at the Great Wall. It was sooo cold when we got there, sort of freezing (only to us who is not used to this kind of climate - spring). Looking at how much I was gonna climb to reach the first beacon, I was becoming lazy already. At the back of my mind, I just couldn't make it. It was actually a long climb and it was darn high! Do you want to know what changed my mind? I saw a lot of senior citizens (read:old people) climb and here I am, like half their age and unable to climb. OMG what a shame! Anyways I did it, and when I got to the top (1st beacon), I was perspiring like crazy, yeah I forgot how cold it was. It felt good having to climb and it made me purchase this proof (a brass thingy) that indeed I was "man" enough to climb the Great Wall of China.

Josh doing the LOL!
We went to Tagaytay on Good Friday to have lunch. Surprisingly there was not much traffic along South Super Highway. I was not expecting traffic to be this light because compared to the previous years where there was really much traffic. Good thing my SIL made reservations, if not we would be able to have lunch maybe at half past two. Yeah there were a lot of people waiting outside the restaurant when we got there. Much as we wanted to spend more time and talk over lunch, we couldn't afford to do that in consideration with the others who were waiting outside. It was a good trip though it would have been nicer if we were able to drop by Java Jazz, our favorite coffee shop.

This award came as a surprise really. I got it from Q or Sunnysideup who I think is a friend of Kris. Thanks a lot Q.

Now, here is a list of 10 Honest Things about Me! :)

Now I am passing this award to:

Tila ito ay tumatago, siguro sobrang init na init.
Tuwing aking kaarawan or Vee day, walang paltos akong nakakatanggap ng rosas mula sa aking esposo.
Di ko alam ang pangalan ng bulaklak na ito, pero kakaiba talaga sya
