More Knitting

You'll see me knit more starting today. I don't know if I can hold on to that promise. But as it is, it gives me no choice really. This is what I will be doing while waiting for my son get out of review class. I am his designated driver all the time and I don't want to waste my time (4.5 hours) doing nothing. So there, now you know why I don't have any choice. Actually I was the one who decided to knit instead of going to some internet cafe doing farmville.

Bucket Hat Progress

I'm halfway done already. If only I can work on it all the time, I'd be able to finish it in 2 days. But how about my farming? Honestly I'm growing tired already but I know I can't keep myself away from it totally. I can prolly lessen my time with farming and squeeze this in, yeah I can do that!

Knitting Project: Leaf Pattern

Like I mentioned, the sisters from the US are arriving. In order to save on shipping cost, I'm working on this scarf (and many more hopefully) to give to one of them. I've done two already for my niece and again hoping to do another one. Lace patterns are kinda hard to make in the sense that I need to look at the pattern all the time. I'm not that young to be able to memorize it :P Probably if knitting was my life, then I'd be able to do that. I'm still thankful that I am able to get through some of the patterns to think I only learned how to knit watching youtube vids, tutorials of sorts.

Remember this entry about me wanting to do a slouchy meret? I was able to finish it Christmas eve. I gave it to my daughter for Christmas. Of course she is very happy about it since she has been bugging me to do it for a hundred years already. She turned a lot of heads when we went malling, she got a lot of stares when we ate at TGiF. The reason? I don't know. Probably she looks pretty with the beret, or it's odd seeing someone wear a beret in a tropical country. What do you think?

Slouchy Meret

I'll be attempting to do this "Meret". It's actually the Mystery Beret thus Meret. I just got done with the scarf and it's ready to be shipped now. I'll do it probably on Monday since the Post Office is closed on weekends. I know we live in the tropics, but my daughter would really want to have a slouchy beret. I made her a beanie already and this time she requested for a beret. I'll post the source of the pattern when I'm already done with it.

I Knit!

I started this knitting project 2nd week of December I think. I'm proud to say that I finished it in just 2 days. I can actually do it in one sitting, but knowing me, I'm such a multi-tasker. Anyways, my daughter was able to wear it already when we went to Tagaytay. It was a bit colder there compared to Manila, so she found this a great opportunity to wear it. I don't know if it helped her get warm, or is it just because of fashion. Whatever it is, I know my daughter is happy that I made her a beanie.
