Gym At Home

Exercise! It's very important for the body. It keeps us fit. There are a lot of benefits we get when we have our regular fitness thing. I know most of us don't have the time to go to the gym. That was my problem too, so I thought of making a mini gym at home. I have two equipments already and I'm looking into these ellipticals I saw online. I want to take advantage of the big sale being offered plus free shipping. Rarely can you find such great deals online.

My Task

As I was saying in one of my entries, I have been completely bothered by the weight I'm putting on. I have been exercising, but not too much though. I get lazy just thinking about it. Like one of my friends, she finds exercising more like a chore. I know it shouldn't be that way, but hey I think it's normal to think that way. It's not an easy job after all. For now, I am putting on hold this diet pill, but who knows anytime soon if I really get frustrated and want to go back to my ideal weight, I might try that on.

Hey look what happened to my Nike Shox! I used that when I did hiphop abs the first time. I bought that shoes years ago, I cannot even recall when, but man it's old. I haven't been using it for a long time. I think the last time I wore it was like a year ago when I was into walking with my son. It became brittle I think because of poor storage. They say too that when you stop using it, that normally happens the next time. Gah I didn't learn my lesson. That happened to me sometime ago and in the mall at that. I was forced to buy a new pair of sandals.

HipHop Abs

Woohoo! I was able to convince someone to do the hiphop abs with me. It's a lot more fun to exercise with someone. We don't easily get tired, and the most important thing, we encouraged each other to finish the 30-minute dance workout. This is my second time, hopefully I can make it as part of my daily routine, or should it be every other day since I belly dance. I might overdo it, and I don't want to have a reason to pig out since I have been more consistent in my workout lately.

Bouncing on Trampoline

I've been wanting to buy this trampoline eversince I found out that bouncing in one has many health benefits. I read that it has more health benefits compared to different aerobic exercises. It strengthens every part of your body. My Mom used to tell us too that letting a child bounce on the trampoline increases his/her intelligence. I have to read more on this so for now I can't give you the reason why. But eversince I found out about it, I've been letting my kids bounce on the trampoline whenever I see one in the Malls. They actually get excited and I can see that they are having fun. Hmmm, I think it's about time to own one.

How I wish I had these ellipticals at home. So when I miss belly dancing class or if I'm just too tired riding the bike, I have an alternative. Do you want to learn how to dance the salsa but don't have the time to do it? It sucks right? I know the feeling, yes it's quite disappointing that we cannot squeeze it in our daily schedule because of loads of work at the office. But did you know that there is a salsa video available? Wait, I know what you are thinking, that you can never learn to dance the salsa by watching the dvd. Well you are wrong there. I have tried watching a dvd and I have learned a lot. And why not? It gives you a detailed, concise and clear step by step instructions. It's very easy to follow, and if you can't get it right, all you have to do is watch the dvd over and over again until you get it basics right. The nice thing about it is you can dance and practice anytime. You can even bring it with you while on vacation. You can make it as part of your daily exercise too, you can even lose weight while learning how to dance the salsa. I have friends who really lost weight, and they always point it out to dancing. It's fun, you don't feel tired right away because you are enjoying it. Sometimes you're not even aware that you've been dancing for hours already. All these benefits you can get from salsa dancing, and not only that, it will help you build self confidence, greater flexibility, and better reflexes.

Indoor

This is what N did to my bike, he converted it temporarily so I can "bike" indoor. I have not been biking at the Mall of Asia for how many months now, since I started taking care of the cooking here at home. Don't ask me if I've used it already, lol. You won't like my answer. Yes, I am a lazy bum, even forgetting about those weights I bought. But I realized I need to do it. Promise, tomorrow I'm gonna do it. You can check on me, yeah I like that, gives me the motivation to do it. Especially now, that I don't do anything but sit my butt out in front of the laptop. There are just certain areas in our body that need attention, and I can't get it all by doing belly dancing. Agree?

Toning The Trouble-Spots

One night I was watching the video taken by N of our Belly Dance Performance. I noticed that while doing the shoulder shimmy, my "loose arm flesh" (triceps) was also doing a shimmy to my disgust. Right away N suggested that I do something about it. Yesterday he bought me a 3lb. weights so I can start doing what I need to do. Luckily I have found some help in the net. Click HERE.
