So How Tall Are You?

Tuesday, June 07, 2011

The husband has just wrapped up his photo shoot for a magazine. This is not really the first time that I've seen tall people but it seems like they get taller and taller everyday. These batch of models are really tall and they are very young. I wonder if they were given hgh releaser. Sometimes I wish I was as tall as them or even half as tall. I know, I am wishing for the impossible since I am past the age already. Well my kids have a few years left for them to grow tall, so maybe I'll just wish for them, teehee!

Get Rid of Toxins

Saturday, October 02, 2010

I haven't really thought of colon cleansing, probably because it is not big over here. But seeing the benefits it can give, I am now getting interested in it. Probably not for myself but more for a family member who gets constipated all the time. One of the reasons why a person gets constipated is the fact that the openings are slowly blocked by fecal matter which can turn into toxins. You know what toxin buildup can do to your health. But before anything else since this is new to me, I will have to read on colon cleanser reviews so that I would know which ones are effective and which ones are claiming to be effective but are not.

Oh, I can't stop myself from including weight loss as part of its benefits, teehee!

Snack on Walnuts...It's Healthy

Tuesday, September 14, 2010

My sisters sent us food stuff from the US c/o their friend Ching. When I saw the pack of walnuts, I was really very happy. Did you know that walnuts are very good source of protein? Not only that, it is also an anti-oxidant. It also lowers LDL cholesterol. Hhhmm, this is good for the husband who is taking meds for high cholesterol. Hope that by snacking on this, it will lower. People eating walnuts reduce the risk of having heart disease. There are a lot of health benefits that's why I snack on them too. Never mind that it doesn't taste like all the yummy nuts.

How Fast Can You Lose Weight?

Friday, July 09, 2010

What do you think is the common reason why people go to the gym? Initially it's because they want to lose weight. I enrolled in aerobics class because I got tired of people's comments that I am fat, yeah bluntly said. Keeping and staying fit is just my secondary reason. Now what about my first reason? Was I successful? Just a bit since I haven't really gotten to my desired/target weight. Sometimes out of frustration that nothing is working, I want to try quicktrim. I know this will help me obtain my target weight. But I am giving myself about six more months to lose it via hi lo, if not I have to go to the doctor and ask if I can use one of those popular pills.

Migraine...Not!

Monday, July 05, 2010

About 4 years ago, I always had headaches. It happens everyday and I take meds almost everyday too. I got to a point where I was really concerned with my liver with all the meds I take for migraine relief. Not that the meds are causing it, but it's a known fact that when you take lots of meds, you know what will eventually happen with the liver.

I thought it was migraine, symptoms pointed to it. Boy I was wrong. It turned out I had TMJ disorder. Good thing our orthodontist discovered it. I was immediately treated, first by wearing a splint, then braces which took forever. I wore braces for about 4 years. Now I'm done with the treatment and I seldom get headaches, thank God.

Me? Fat?

Everyone who has not seen me in a long time says I'm fat! I know and I don't really mind at all or do I? Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. Well I can distinguish a nasty comment from a sincere comment if you know what I mean. I do grow tired of hearing it to the point that I want to try ephedra diet pills. You see if you hear it again and again it makes you think that you really are. Nothing wrong with being fat and all, but sometimes those comments make you feel that you look ugly, duh!

How Important is PD?

Thursday, June 24, 2010

Have you experienced ordering your glasses online? Or do you still go to the optician who used to do your glasses. What if you want to order your glasses from Zenni: the #1 online eyeglasses store, but the thing is you get No PD for you from Opticians. How important is this is PD? What is PD? in other words? PD is pupillary distance, the distance between the center of the pupils in each eye. This measurement is used when preparing prescription glasses. Now what do you do if your optician does not give you your PD. In my opinion you can always ask for it. It's your right since you already have paid him in the past. Now if it's your first time to ask for your PD from an optician, it's just right to pay him a certain amount but not too much. Sometimes optician overcharge simply because they want the patients to buy the glasses from them. What if some patients want to order it online simply because it's what they can afford?

Are You Covered?

Thursday, August 20, 2009

My SIL has been suggesting that I get a health insurance for the whole family. At first I was hesitant about it, but now I see the need for it. Who wouldn't want to get covered? What with the low cost health insurance being offered nowadays, it's now for everyone. I used to think that this would really take a great part in the budget, but when I browsed through some of the quotations, not bad after all. I can say we can afford it.

More Facts

Saturday, February 07, 2009

I am again misinformed, or should I say I haven't really done my assignment to read. I have always regarded menopause as a reason for vaginal dryness. Yes it is one but it is not the sole reason. I have found out that excessive exercise, chemotheraphy, prescription drugs, breastfeeding, ovarian dysfunction among others can also cause dryness. I hate it when sometimes I feel stupid. That is why I am very happy when I learn something new, like today.

Monday, April 21, 2008

I've been wanting to buy this trampoline eversince I found out that bouncing in one has many health benefits. I read that it has more health benefits compared to different aerobic exercises. It strengthens every part of your body. My Mom used to tell us too that letting a child bounce on the trampoline increases his/her intelligence. I have to read more on this so for now I can't give you the reason why. But eversince I found out about it, I've been letting my kids bounce on the trampoline whenever I see one in the Malls. They actually get excited and I can see that they are having fun. Hmmm, I think it's about time to own one.

The Skin Revitalizer

Wednesday, October 24, 2007

Did you know why the fruit gac is called the "Fruit from Heaven?" But first let me tell you something about gac. This is a tropical fruit mostly found in Southeast Asia particularly in Vietnam. It is one of the most valued fruits because of its many health benefits. It has an astonishing nutritional content that promotes longevity, vitality and health. It contains high concentration of beta-carotene and lycopene which help support cellular rejuvenation throughout the body. Gac fruit contains high levels of fatty acid - carotenoid, which supports healthy skin.. Compared to the beta-carotene found in vegetables, the beta-carotene found in the gac fruit is more easily absorbed by the body. Beta-carotene is a carotenoid antioxidant found in the gac fruit. It's nutritional value is very important to the skin.

R.G. Skin Revitalizer is a dietary supplement that supports skin health. It contains the gac fruit oil which we all know by now is a good source of carotenoids that nourishes the skin. It's a skin nourishment very rich in antioxidants that supports the body against free radicals and promotes cellular rejuvenation. Benefits of Sauna

Sunday, October 21, 2007

Before I was really wondering why my friend enjoys using the sauna every time she's done working out. At first I could not understand why she has to go through the torture of "steaming" herself, when she could have a nice cold shower after her workout. Then I asked her what benefits can she get from using it. She enumerated the Health Benefits of Sauna. Topping her list is weight control. Did you know that when you use the sauna, you burn calories? Yes, the calories you burn is equal to a 30 minute jog or run. She said she's rather sit it out in the sauna room rather than jog or run. It also helps tighten the skin and gets rid of cellulite. She also mentioned that it increases blood circulation. This friend of mine is involved in strenuous physical activity, and she claims that being in the sauna eases or relieves joint muscle pain and stiffness. So this could also benefit people who are suffering from arthritis. It could also be a treatment for people suffering from sprains, muscle spasm, and other muscular-skeletal ailments. It can also remove toxins and mineral wastes since you sweat a lot. She has been convincing me to use the sauna too, since it helps in reducing stress and fatigue. Knowing this friend of my who is a health buff, she wouldn't be recommending things that are not beneficial to ones health.

Colon Cleansing

Thursday, October 04, 2007

If you are one who's having bouts of fatigue, constipation, weight gain or having digestive issues, I suggest that you go for a colon cleanse. It is very important to know how critical daily elimination is to your life. Did you know that when the colon does not eliminate wastes in time, it spreads toxins to your other organs before finding its way back to the liver. If you don't digest and eliminate in time, it may cause bloating, indigestion and gas and eventually lead to more serious problems. Remember that the blood that flows through every major organ in your body comes from the colon. So it is best to cleanse your colon first, and the rest of your organs will benefit.
