last year's trick or treat

The kids always look forward to this occassion, they get to wear costumes, bring home a lot of goodies, etc. But this year? Yeah, they are still excited about the idea of going trick or treat, BUT not the costume thingy anymore. I guess they've outgrown that part now, but Mom hasn't =) When I was at the mall, there were a lot of cute costumes on display and i started browsing, picking what looks best on them. But uh-uh, they don't wanna wear it. Instead, Josh had this...he thinks this could be the best alternative to wearing costumes.

In Silence I emerged the VICTOR

Wednesday, October 19, 2005

With the recent brouhaha going on, i chose to remain silent...no use retaliating...why in the first place should i stoop down to their level? as long as I never said a word, I'm fine really. Now i can still face them, head up, nothing to be guilty about and above all i have PEACE OF MIND.

Mistaken Identity

In my case, it wasn't raindrop that hit my nose

He dreamt about his foe that night, a dream that included fistfight. Too bad i was the recipient of that one fist that smacked right in my nose, i couldn't do anything but wince in pain, waiting for blood to flow but there was none. The first thing i did when i woke up was to feel my nose...darn it, it didn't get broken...haha...otherwise it could have been my chance to have it fixed (fyi...that's the part of my face which i dislike so much), so i told him, next time you dream again...hit harder ok?

p.s. (to you) scoop, ain't it? come on, feast on it :-P

Club Mwah

Friday, October 14, 2005

taking pictures of the show was not allowed that night...but was lucky enough to take one for this blog :-P

We were treated by Rhona's friend to a one of a kind show at Club Mwah. (I really do not like the sound of it's name...it just doesn't give justice to the show and them being awarded the Asia Pacific Outstanding Entertainment Club-Theater Bar...don't you think so?) Well anyhoo, the show was fantastic, well choreographed, and the costumes...gosh it was elaborate...was reminded of Moulin Rouge (but i didn't say it's as beautiful as Moulin....bleh)not even close...but really, kudos to the performers, they were great!

And yeah, i noticed that most of the guests that night were Balikbayans/foreigners... so i guess if you can't think of a cool place to bring your guests/visitors, consider Club Mwah, i'm sure they will enjoy. For more details, go to Cuz's blog or at their website.

P - A - I - N

Wednesday, October 12, 2005

Now you know why it is P-A-I-N...went to my Ortho today for the continuation of my TMJ Treatment. After wearing the splint for 8 loooonnng months, i'm now at the last and final phase, BRACES. Sat on the dental chair for a straight 3 1/2 hours, can you imagine that...and i felt like my lips were tearing apart, im not kidding. And the agony doesn't end there...now i can't eat, it's just too painful to bear that i had to take a pain reliever. All i had was congee and a cup of ice cream. If the pain continues, man, i'm gonna be skin and bones....arrrgggghhhh.

Imeldific

Imeldific? I'm sure...i just looooove shoes...so when Nelson asked me to accompany him at Tagaytay Highlands, i immediately said yes. Tagaytay Highlands is synonymous to the outlets of Nike and Adidas to me. We always drop by those outlets, and if i find something cool, i don't go home empty handed.

Campout

Josh had his first campout today...too bad his sister didn't qualify coz she lacked in the number of attendance required...it would have been a great experience for both of them. At first i was hesitant to allow him, scared that he might hurt himself, scared that he might catch dengue, worried that he may not be able to have a good night's rest (no A/C, no comfy bed, small pillow), and a lot more. But given the facts, he still insisted, and yeah, why not...it will be a learning experience for him.

When we visited him that night, they were out ghost hunting, he was all wet from perspiration, he was even embarrassed seeing us =) yeah, he feels all grown up!

Just When I Thought...but hey!

Thursday, October 06, 2005

Just when I thought i was ok, something came up that i got quite pissed off...*looks hard at Cuz**but hey, before something stirs up, it's not her fault really.

After a lot of teasing from Nelson about what happened, he made me feel good. He treated me with a Tall Iced Caramel Machiato and Ensaymada at Starbucks...and yes, I am A-oK now...add to that I was qualified to Globe Telecom's Loyalty Reward (not sure if that's how they call it). I get to have either a Motorola razr v3(used to be my dream mobile phone) or Nokia 6230i, or P21,000 which can be applied to succeeding phone bills...how kewl can that be!

Calling, calling all Globe Telecom's Postpaid Subscribers, start calling 211 from your mobile phones and check if you are qualified with their loyalty promo...hurry up, they say (not confirmed) that it's gonna be until the end of October only.

YOU....who else?

Wednesday, October 05, 2005

YOU and YOU *points a finger at them*...WHO ELSE!!! you know it's YOU and YOU!!! Leave me alone will you? Don't wait til i run-amuck, you might not like it or are you waiting to have a piece of me! I am really boiling mad...i can't contain it much longer...

I dunno why some people are born ENVIOUS and JEALOUS... I leave these quotes to you...Hope it sinks in *cross fingers*

"The jealous are troublesome to others, but a torment to themselves."

"Envy is the art of counting the other fellow's blessings instead of your own."

"Jealousy is simply and clearly the fear that you do not have value. Jealousy scans for evidence to prove the point - that others will be preferred and rewarded more than you. There is only one alternative - self-value. If you cannot love yourself, you will not believe that you are loved. You will always think it's a mistake or luck. Take your eyes off others and turn the scanner within. Find the seeds of your jealousy, clear the old voices and experiences. Put all the energy into building your personal and emotional security. Then you will be the one others envy, and you can remember the pain and reach out to them."

"Jealousy is the great exaggerator."

"Envy is a symptom of lack of appreciation of our own uniqueness and self worth. Each of us has something to give that no one else has."

"It is better to want what you have than to have what you want."

"Loyalty will not permit envy, hate, and uncharitableness to creep into our public thinking."

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Experience

Monday, October 03, 2005

The nice thing about going to Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf are their teas. They have different choices ranging from rare teas, classic black, traditional blends, classic green and now becoming a favorite of mine, their herbal infusions.

They say that their herbal infusions are prepared the simple ancient Chinese method of infusing the herbs in just-boiled water for several minutes. Except for one flavor, all of their herbal infusiuns are caffeine free. It's the best alternative, don't you think? Especially for me, muscle spasms get active everytime i have caffeine drinks.

Caramel Rooitea - originates from South Africa, has a sweet creamy fragrance, caramel aroma, enhanced with flavors of caramel and creamy vanilla, it's health benefits include stress relief and digestive properties.

Sent an sms to CUZ that i will be at the carshow today. Good thing they were on their way to Podium to go shopping, and they decided to drop by Mega Mall first. After which i went with them to Podium, not to go shopping, but to fill my grumbling stomach. We ate at UCC, which seems to be our fave hangout lately...their garlic mushroom spaghetti is yummy...heavenly!

Totally Forgotten Moves

Thursday, September 29, 2005

We haven't been attending our belly dancing class for 5 consecutive sessions, and boy i tell you, bones were crackling everywhere. We didn't have our usual stuff, everything was pretty new, including the use of veil. There were times I had to stop to catch my breath, really! Using the veil is pretty tough, if you don't do it right, you can get entangled...oooppppssss, am i getting OA here?!?

Uni Sashimi

I wonder why some japanese restaurants here in Manila couldn't do a better presentation than this...it really looks yucky when you see it, therefore can't stomach it. But since this is one of my favorites, i really didn't mind how it was presented...still yummy =)

a far cry from this, but still...

Starbucks is 5 Minutes Away

Saturday, September 24, 2005

Oh yeah! *dancing* Oh yeah! I don't need to drive miles and miles away to have my favorite fix of coffee. It finally opened last Thursday, and was a full house. This is the nice thing living in our area, though not in a plush subdivision, everything is 5 minutes away.

Isha, Mae & Alex

Isha and her friends spent the afternoon at our house. Among all of her friends, these two cutesie girls are the ones i love so dearly. I've known Alex since she was like 6 and Mae since she was 8. I'm just so happy that these three are reunited. I know Isha is in good company.

Spelling Contest

Isha won Second Place! Could have been First, if she just remembered everything in the list I made her. But that's ok I am happy and proud of her just the same.

While watching the contest, I was kinda irritated with her Dad coz he was playing video games, while here I was, following every stroke of her hand, wondering if she got it right, even holding my breath until i hear that she got it right...arrrgggghhh!

Funny, we had the same feeling after all, but he just had another way of releasing his tension...weird! Oh well, to each his own!

CONGRATULATIONS DARLING DOLL!
