Happy 95th Birthday!

Monday, August 20, 2012

Photobucket We had a big celebration in honor of my father-in-law's 95th birthday. The party's theme was Vintage Glam and that was the best look we can come up with. The party was well attended just like the other parties we hold for him. We thank everyone for being a part of his 95th birthday. Looking forward to see you all again on his 100th birthday celebration.

The 95th Celebration

Tuesday, August 07, 2012

My father-in-law is celebrating his 95th birthday in 2 weeks. We are already preparing for a celebration that is why we have been busy lately. We already have a theme and there are a few things that need to be ironed out. My sister-in-law is thinking of putting a fountain in one part of the ballroom and when I heard about it, I did a little research and found the best campania fountains suitable for the occasion. I need to show her the website which I haven't done yet. I don't know why I am so pre-occupied this days that I don't know what to do first. I keep forgetting a lot of things and I need to be constantly reminded. Gosh I think I need to take some vitamin supplement for that.

An Idea in Mind

Monday, April 25, 2011

Oh now I remember! Yes we actually have a Banner stand. I don't need to buy a new one or even borrow. I wonder if the husband remembers where he stored them. He actually used it during one of the bridal fairs we used to join. He has to find it by hook or by crook because I will be needing it very soon. A special occasion is coming up and that banner stand will come in handy. I have a cute idea I need to share and this will make the celebrant cherish her special day more.

Thank you Lord for adding another year to my son's life. I pray that he will continue to love and serve you. I pray that you will grant him good health. I pray that you will help him with his studies. Lord guide him in his everyday life, teach him to be what you want him to be. Lord I pray that I will be able to raise them to be good Christians, always abiding in your will.

I love you my son, and happy birthday.

*a late post for his dec. 15th bday ^_^

The Party

Wednesday, June 25, 2008

Despite the heavy downpour caused by Typhoon Frank, we still made our way to Crowne Plaza to attend the debut celebration of the daughter of a family friend. A lot actually attended, and I'd say the attendance is still overwhelming. It was a grand celebration, minus a cotillon de honor though, I guess nobody does the cotillon anymore. Instead they had 18 roses, 18 treasures, stuff like that. I asked my daughter if she wants that kind of coming out party when she turns 18. She said NO, it's too formal. She'd rather travel or a car as birthday present. Whoa! My daughter is practicial. Wish we could afford all though since having a Debut is really a memorable experience.

15th Year

Thursday, August 23, 2007

It seemed like only yesterday when I walked down the aisle, August 22, 1992 to be exact, gosh it's been 15 years...and still counting. Funny how I couldn't really remember anything that happened on that day except for one thing. While walking down the aisle, I saw empty pews, and I was like, oh no! nobody attended my wedding. And before I know it, the next time I looked, it was almost full. I think I was teary eyed...oh never mind...don't want to get mushy here ^_^

Anyway, it's been 15 years! We've had our share of ups and downs like everyone else, but i'm glad we've survived with God's wonderful grace. Now we have 2 wonderful kids, Isha and Josh (heehee as if you don't know), and we are striving on having a God centered happy family. I got 3 red roses from N and I like what he wrote in the card..."I'm very thankful to God because we are now 15 years together. I'm looking forward to spending the rest of my life with you. 'Til death do us part".

All In A Day

my nieces Hannah & Cheska, my nephew David, (kids of my brother) and N clowning on the side

It was Dad's birthday on the 14th, we went to bring him flowers. If you noticed that heart on top of the flower, that was made by Hannah (my niece). A day before Dad's birthday, she knocked on my Mom's door showing that heart cutout. Mom thought all the while it was for her, but when she asked the lil girl, she said it was her birthday present for her Lolo (grandfather). Hannah is really a very sweet girl. On her dad's (my brother) birthday, she made a card and included the ribbon she got from school and told her dad, "here's my bday present for you."

V-Days are now spent with the family and the rest of the household. We all went to Mall of Asia to celebrate. I had to drop by Toy Kingdom to have the gameboy micro we bought in December checked. And guess what?

I was walking to the counter quite in a hurry, didn't notice that there was a protruding fiber glass, got hit by it. Excruciating pain I tell you, I almost couldn't walk. I related the matter to the girl behind the counter, asked for the store manager, but took them a while before somebody could attend to my needs. But everything changed when I took out my camera and started taking pictures. It was like all of a sudden everyone was there, from the store manager down to the security and all. They started moving the stuff that hit me, and I had to stop them. Now you can see their panic striken faces, and got more attentive to my needs. Maybe they thought that the reason why I took pictures was for something else, while what I had in mind was really for the blog, hehe, but those photos would come in handy in case something else happens to me, but thank God i'm OK. I did not expect this to happen, among all shops at Toy Kingdom. It should be child-proofsafe (thanks KK) and all, considering there are a lot of children running around. It's really negligence on their part and it has to take one person to get wounded for them to realize that they could have trimmed the edges and make it a bit rounded to avoid accidents. And this is what I don't like about Pinoys, they take everything in stride and only take action if you yourself has taken action like taking pictures, maybe create a scene or something...arrrrggghhh!
