Oh Well

Plans of going out of the country (Beijing & Shanghai) is not happening. I'm quite sad about it, N does not allow me to go out of the country or even out of town without him. I had to beg off from all the invitations from cousins. Cuz wanted me to go with them to Jakarta, but again when I asked permission he said no =(

And since he says no to all the travels without him, I decided to just spend my earnings from doing sponsored posts by purchasing this. It's a pretty good buy since I got it at 20 percent off. Now I have something pretty to wear when I go work.

It's Just Different

Why do we always become lazy after the holidays. I don't know if you experience that, but I do. I just want to stay in bed the whole day and do nothing but sleep. It's probably because of the activities done during the holidays that our bodies are starting to shout "Hey! Give me a Break!" Well I was able to do that today. I woke up at 11 in the morning, and if not for a 2 pm appointment with the doctor, I could have stayed the whole day in bed. I'm thankful to God that I can at least do that, like stay in bed as long as I want. I remember the time when I was still doing the 8-5 job, I had to drag myself out of bed and report for work on the 2nd. Now I realized that it sucks big time ^_^. Now that's one of the perks of being a stay-at-home MoMMa! Yahoo!

Packed

I went to Trinoma again to do some last minute shopping. Geez, seems like everyone is there. They even had to control people going inside the Crocs Store. Looks like Crocs is part of everyone's wishlist this Christmas.

Ish convinced me to buy this really humungous BEAR, it's gonna be her boarder just for tonight, uuumm hopefully. She really liked it a lot and was very happy when I bought it. Actually she wanted the biggest one, but I didn't enough moolah to buy it. Maybe next time Ish, or better yet maybe you can buy it with your Christmas moolah, bwaaaahhh!

Boo!

I really feel so bad. I thought I was able to get a good deal. In fact I was really proud of myself when I was able to get a very good discount of an item I saw. Good thing there was only one left in their stock. I was even planning to get a few of it to give away on Christmas to some of my friends. If not I would be wailing by now. If I was to get 5 pcs of that item, then I'd lose 1000 pesos. That's a pretty good sum and I will not be able to forgive myself for being soooo stupid. Sometimes it really pays to do some window shopping first to be able to compare prices. But I don't have the luxury of time to do that. Oh well!

Discipline

This is a very interesting tag passed on to me by the Mother of QQ. She wants to know whether I still use a cane to discipline my teenagers.

I remember spanking my kids when they were still young. It’s either using the slippers, a belt or my bare hand. It was mostly my hand that I used though. Nope, I didn’t have second thoughts of using the “rod” especially if they don’t obey orders and rules in the house. Of course I will have to talk to them first and warn them, and if they ignore me, that’s the time I “hit” them. But now that they’ve blossomed into teenagers, it’s pretty hard. All I do is talk to them and if I get frustrated, I shout/scream! After which I ground them for a day, depending on what they did wrong. When my son does something wrong, I keep all his “toys” (laptop, gamecube, ps, ps1, ps2, psp, nintendo wii, nintendo ds and gameboy). As for my daughter I think I will confiscate her cellphone and iPod. In other words, I will take away their “life”.

Please HELP!

Waaaaaahhhhh! I need to put something on my sidebar but I can’t. I can’t find the update button. All I see is “if files were writable then you can edit it”. Oly Guacamole, what’s happening? Please tell me! I did everything from editing the index.php but it did not change. I’m quite frustrated already! I just updated my theme like 3 days ago and it was working fine, now its waaaaahhhhhh! I need your help badly please. Whoever can shed light on this, I’d be very happy and thankful. Please don’t play tricks on me, I’ve been working hard you know, and I don’t have any “brains” left to try and figure out what is wrong!

Record Breaking!

Haha! I did like 9 sponsored posts on November 17, beat that! Nah just kidding ^_^ I really chose to do it all in one day, because I will be absent from the world wide web the following day (Nov. 18). I don’t want to stress out myself come Monday beating the dead line. I wanna start my week right, a very relaxing one. How about you? How many have you done in a day? Thank you for all the things you’ve done for me: for bringing me to this world, for raising me to be what I am now, for teaching me a lot of good things and for being a good father. I know that I hardly show affection w/ hugs and kisses, but it is my pride and joy to tell you how much I love you and Mommy. I guess I am in the phase where we, somewhat get embarrassed by showing affection to our parents, even at home. Once again, Happy Birthday & I love you!

He was really excited with the letter he got, and I was excited too. We miss the days that Ish writes us letters. I remember when she first started to learn how to read and write (age 5), she had been writing us short letters. Today she is in school attending a weekend camp but we will fetch her later tonight to celebrate.

No matter how her Dad would deny it, he was teary eyed while reading the letter. I was like how come I didn’t get a letter on my birthday (haha jealous Mom), and N was like, “how come I didn’t get a birthday present?” Haha, this is really funny ^_^

Well I on my part just made a short note, placed it in a red envelope (ang pao) with $ inside, after all I am now a $ earner, bwaaaahhh!

System Error

Hay naku! Talaga naman! Sabi dahil daw sa system error nila kaya na reject ang posts ko. Oo dalawang post. Dalawang posts na pinaghirapan kong gawin. Di biro ang umupo at magsulat noh. Kung san san nako nakatingin baka sakali may mga lumabas na pangungusap at pede kong kopyahin. Minsan naka tingala ako sa kisame baka sakali andun yung sagot sa mga tanong ko. Tapos ganun ganun nalang? Ni-reject nila yung posts dahil sa sarili nilang pagkakamali, tapos ang sagot lang sayo is sorry for the inconvenience? Tama yun? Hay buhay nga naman! Patawarin nyo na ako, first time ko kasi ma-reject dito sa kumpanyang eto, or totally 1st time ma reject na di pede mag resubmit. Ang daya di ba? At eto pa, meron pang dagdag trabaho, kung gusto ko daw, tanggalin ko yung 2 particular posts, aba di bale nalang, tulong ko nalang sa kanila yun, pasko naman eh.

Double Ouch!

Today we went to the mall to have our monthly facial. Yipee, it’s now a regular thing. The same lady did my face, and I really like her a lot. She has a good disposition and a happy aura. Imagine getting a stressout lady, haha, then it’s gonna be my last facial ^_^. Until now I still can’t bear the pain when she starts pricking, but it is compensated by the facial massage she gives me, gosh it’s heavenly, I feel more relax than ever. I had my humungous pimple injected too. This is the first time that I had this, yes it’s really big and kinda swollen. I hope it will be gone by tomorrow, if not I’m gonna have it injected again.

Tired but Happy

I just got back from Subic. Yes, same venue (The Lighthouse) for a pre-nuptial shoot. Nope I didn’t not actually work but N wanted me to tag along, so I did. Well I have another agenda why I came too. I wanted to buy some stuffs at the nearby duty free shops. We didn’t have time shop the last time we were there because of work. And today I thought we won’t make it again to the shops. We got to Subic at around 2:20 and N was in a hurry to go straight to the venue. I was kinda pissed off because part of the reason I joined them was to go and buy stuffs in Duty Free. Good thing it rained a bit and we didn’t have any other choice but to pack up. Well they’ve had enough shots I guess, so we called it a day. We made it to Royal Duty Free and I was able to pick up some stuffs, weeeeee! I’m now happy!

Connection Lost

Grrrrr! Grrrrr! I was in the middle of submitting a paid post entry when suddenly my connection goes pppppffffftttt! It sucks big time, it was worth $15. I blamed N for using the telephone, poor him. Fact is there was really a problem with our internet provider. I was hard on him I admit, I was frowning and was not talking to him right because of the missed chance. Good thing N is really patient with me. Funny how we can react to situations like this. But let’s face it, it’s not often that you see a $15 offer, right?

Now my connection is back, and I heard N talking to himself saying something like “Oh I need to behave and just keep quiet.” Hehe, are your husbands as funny and understanding as he is?

DIY Color

If you noticed, the gray is showing and it’s kinda disgusting! It doesn’t look neat! I finally found the time to DIY again ^_^. I’ve been doing my own hair color for quite some time now. Yes I may have some hair disasters, but that does not stop me from DIY stuff. Well aside from the great savings, the salon I go to do not offer ammonia free hair color. I can’t afford to abuse my crowning glory some more, with all the ironing and stuff. Yes, I am successful, no grays anymore. WOOHOO!

Why?

I started joining the bandwagon in May signing up with just one company. In July I started going full blast signing up with almost all the companies offering sponsored writing. The reason behind why I joined is because I wanted to earn on my own keep. I just miss having my own moolah, you see I resigned from my job in 1995, a decision I made without really thinking. Not that I regret it, in fact I’m ok with it. It has given me time to take care of the needs of the family.

Now that I earning my own keep, I don’t need to burden my husband into buying me my whims. I can take care of it ^_^. But would you believe the moolah I earned from doing sponsored posts is still intact? I have not thought of anything to buy yet. But I am reserving it for a planned trip to Beijing and Shanghai come March (hubby hasn’t given his go signal yet if I can join my cousins on this trip). Well if not, there is a Gucci sling bag waiting for me at the display window. Maybe I’ll get this as a christmas present for myself.

Pretty2

Here’s another pretty dress I bought at 168. I am really funny, after declaring that I am a rehabilitated shopaholic, here I am posting my cheap but pretty shopping find. Well I just can’t resist buying this. Imagine at 480 pesos ($11), who wouldn’t be tempted to buy it, right? And it matches the peep toe sent by my sister. Hmmmm come to think of it, maybe that’s the reason why I was lured into buying this dress, there is a pair of peep toe waiting to be matched.

Overslept

Wahoo! It feels good, I slept for a good 13 hours. This seldom happens as I need to take care of a lot of things. But today, they just allowed me to sleep, probably because I was really dead tired from yesterday’s work (wedding coverage) which was held in Subic. Yes we travelled all the way there leaving Manila at 9 in the morning just to be there for the 5 pm ceremony. Then we headed back to Manila at half past 10 in the evening, I kinda slept in the car coz I got really dizzy, was just too tired.

Boy Magnet

I often hear Josh call/refer to his sister as “boy magnet”. It’s like when I admire Ish with anything, next the words that will come out of Joshua’s mouth would be “boy magnet”. While we were having lunch awhile back I asked him what “boy magnet” means. And he was like, “Duh! Mommy it’s the things that you do that attracts boys. You know, like how you fix your hair, the clothes that you wear.” I suddenly fixed my hair “Isha Style”, then said, like this Josh? Do I qualify? And he was like… “For the love of …Noooooo, you are already married!” Haha, as if I don’t know that. What’s funny, their Dad reacted, saying “No boy magnet for you, you are married.” DUH!
