The Need for a TV Mount

I am really thinking of putting a tv mount in our fitness area, you know where we placed our treadmill. It's kinda boring walking or running on the treadmill I must admit. But when we get to watch something on tv, or a dvd of our favorite movie being played, we forget about how boring it is to be walking on the treadmill. That's what I did, put a tv in front of the treadmill which is really temporary at the moment. I was telling the hubs that it looks better if it is wall mounted.

Tactical Gear Deals

The hubs would be happy if I tell him that I found a site that has the complete tactical gear. He is not a soldier, mind you, but I don't know why he goes for it. It's a hobby which he really enjoys. Most of the time I catch him looking for holsters, scopes, goggles, etc. Now he even wants his daughter to go firing with him. They were supposed to have training last summer, but Ish went for a vacation to the US so the training was postponed. The hubs was not happy about it though. If ever the training pushes through sometime in the future, we already know where to find the tactical gear needed.

Sizzling Plates

It's been my dream to purchase at least 10 sets of sizzling plates. I actually do not know where to buy it so I had to ask my MIL where. She told me that it's available in Quiapo. So off we went to Quiapo and was able to purchase it. I already used it trying to copy the recipe we had at one of the food chains. The kids said that it was close to what we had. Of course the food chain will not share their secret, it's up to me to discover.

Ish Love for Books

You all know by now that my daughter Ish is addicted to books. She saves part of her allowance just to be able to buy books. I am happy that she has developed the love for reading books in such an early age. It has actually helped widen her vocabulary. Now she loves to write. I think she got the inspiration from reading too much books too. If you ask her what she wants, she'd always come up with a title. That's how hungry she is with books. She wants to read everything. Sometimes I wonder where she learns about the titles and all. Her choices are really good, because after she finishes reading it, she would always come up to me and say, "Hey Mom, you should read this, it's exciting."

I Want a PS3 too

My son has been bugging us since the start of 2008 to get him the new playstation 3. His dad made a deal with him that if he loses weight, he would buy him the playstation 3. He lost weight all right, but not at the weight they agreed upon. But knowing my son, he would come up with another ploy just to be able to get his Dad to buy him this playstation 3. Good thing it's not as expensive anymore compared to when it first came out here. So I think we can afford to buy one now. Just between you and me, I also want to have it, I enjoy playing games with my kids. It's my way of bonding with them, well actually one of the ways of bonding with them. I wish we already have the PS3 before Tekken6 comes out in PS3.

Dress 1

Wahoo! Finally I was able to go to the couturier and have my dresses sewn. I brought about 6 cloths and he promised that he can make at least 2 before July 1. I'm gonna have my fitting this Saturday the 28th of June, just in time for the July 6 affair which I am attending. Nah, I am not wearing the one in the picture, it's not formal, although the invitation says smart casual. I have another one in mind which can qualify for smart casual and formal too. Haha, how can that be? All I can say is that I am already excited for him to finish all the dresses I have in mind. I actually provided him the photos of the styles I wanted.

Who Wants LCD Monitor?

I wonder what it will be like if we have this lcd monitor at home. All of us are so used to small screens since everyone in the house uses a laptop. If ever we buy this lcd monitor, the first one who would be happy would be our son. I can now imagine the look on his face when he sees a 21.6" lcd monitor. For now he is sooo much into gaming and stuff and this lcd monitor really works well with high-resolution digital content. The lcd monitor works well with motion video too. With so much compatibility, it makes me want to buy one.

The Party

Despite the heavy downpour caused by Typhoon Frank, we still made our way to Crowne Plaza to attend the debut celebration of the daughter of a family friend. A lot actually attended, and I'd say the attendance is still overwhelming. It was a grand celebration, minus a cotillon de honor though, I guess nobody does the cotillon anymore. Instead they had 18 roses, 18 treasures, stuff like that. I asked my daughter if she wants that kind of coming out party when she turns 18. She said NO, it's too formal. She'd rather travel or a car as birthday present. Whoa! My daughter is practicial. Wish we could afford all though since having a Debut is really a memorable experience.

One More Time

Yeeha! I celebrated my 42nd birthday on June 18. Nothing fancy though. Just had lunch with the hubs at Abe in Trinoma and dinner with the kids (together the angels and the driver) at Gerry's Grill.

I thank the Lord for adding another year in my life. I thank Him too for all the wonderful blessings coming my way everyday. I tend to complain and rant a lot, forgetting the fact that I am truly blessed. Blessed with loving people around me, blessed with a wonderful husband and 2 beautiful kids, blessed materially, blessed with good health, etc. Nothing to complain about really.

I wonder if my cousin has a free medical palm software loaded on her PDA. I haven't gotten to ask her, although I see that she has a PDA. Most doctors are tech savvy nowadays, so I guess Epocrates Medical Reference Software is nothing new to the anymore. I see a few doctors bring with them huge books for reference, but instead I always see them tapping on the screen of their smartphones. This software is really very helpful. They can easily access the information they need especially when prescribing medicines. There is no need to leaf through the pages of thick books just to be able to get the information they need. White and Square

I was really very happy when I found this square white plate. And I was even doubly happy to find out that the price is just 30 pesos. Can you believe that? There's this place that I go to that sells stuff for a very cheap price. It's like a 5 minute drive from our place, and everything you find there is bargain. I was able to get a smaller version of that square white plate and I'm gonna make it a pasta plate. The kids were happy to see the plate on the table. As much as possible, I'd love to turn our dinner table to something like what you see on restaurants, call that ambiance, it makes the food even tastier, LOL.

Midnight Snack with the Little Boss

I am gaining weight. Thanks to the lil Boss who always wants to have midnight snacks with me. Who would go down to the kitchen at 2 in the morning? Us, that's me and Josh my son. We would have a glass of milk and krispy kreme donuts straight from the fridge. Everysince we found out that using the microwave is not really healthy, we can now afford to eat or drink straight from the ref. I don't like to drink milk as much as possible, because I know I'll put on some weight. I don't like the taste of non fat milk too. But since the hubs is always insisting that I drink milk if I don't want to develop osteo, I've since drank. But I still do have my morning fix of Nescafe 3n1 everyday. That I can't do without.

Marriage

Marriage (Pag-iisang Dibdib) is this week's theme for Litratong Pinoy. I was glad that they included this in the list of themes, well it's June, considered to be a wedding month. In our case this does not hold true. We've only covered a few weddings in June. Peak months for us are December and January.

Book Airport Transfer Now

Whenever we travel, we make it a point that the airport transfer is already taken cared of especially in places where no relatives can fetch us. It's either I make arrangements online or I let our travel agent do it for us. I don't want any hassles when we get to the destination. I don't want to worry on how we can get to the hotel. I don't want to take the cab either, I don't just feel safe. I'm not saying that all cab drivers can't be trusted, but based on the stories I hear, I don't want to take chances, especially in a place that you don't know anyone. I don't like the hassle of falling in line just to get a cab too. The long flight has given us enough sacrifices and all I want to do is get to the hotel and rest. This can be done once your airport transfer has been arranged. So if you're planning a business or leisure trip to Rome and you don't know anyone from there, be sure that you have arranged your Rome airport transfer. It's better than having to wait for a cab which you can't be too sure if it's safe or not. Sometimes it's even more expensive taking the cab, because some cab drivers take the longer route taking advantage of you being new to the place. This can happen you know.

In my opinion, it's safer to hire airport transfer especially from reputable companies. Do not keep your loved ones from worrying whether you have arrived safely to your destination. Knit/Crochet Projects

I really need to finish all of my projects. Well I'm not in a hurry with the crocheted bag though, but with the knitted scarves I should be able to finish it before July. I'm making progress, so I think I will be able to save on postage, since I can ask my friend to bring it with her to the US. She will be visiting my sisters. I hope they like the colors I chose. And if I can still manage to knit 2 more I would. Honestly I find crocheting easier than knitting. I can crochet with my eyes closed, but with knitting I don't think I would be able to do that, although I think I've already improved. I knit much faster now.

Closeup Lens

I am getting serious with this hobby. This time I want to buy closeup lens. I am so limited with my shots especially close ranged shots, my macro just does not come up to how I want the pictures to appear, I mean the proximity. I can't "fill the frame" which is how a macro shot should look like. I have some beautiful compositions in mind and I wish to be able to come up with it. I don't want to crop the pictures if you know what I mean, as much as possible I don't like to do something with the photo except resize it. I'm for what you see is what you get.
