Your Car?
Tuesday, January 15, 2008

That pic was taken last Thursday when we had dinner at Serendra. We actually had a baptismal coverage on that day. Before leaving the house, N was saying something like, what if we bring your car so we can have a drink or two. I was like what? I won't be drinking? Bringing my car means only one thing...I will be the one driving. Anyways, he was saying something like, oh you can still manage to drive even with a drink or two. Are you saying that I'm a drunkard or something? And he says, well you have high tolerance for alcohol. Yeah right! **roll eyes** He apparently remembers those times I would drive home having drank 5 bottles of light beer, heehee.
Nice Time

Once again my day started early. Nope not from watching movie that early. I had to go back to DTI to get another business permit. I should have done it over the web, but hey I want to go to Makati or I want to go out of the house for that matter. Anyway, Nelson accompanied me. He patiently waited at the parking area. Maybe he got bored a little so when he saw that there was a branch where we go for facials, he had his face done. I was done by 1 in the afternoon. It was still early so we decided to watch a movie (National Treasure) at Greenbelt after we picked up the lens he left at the Canon Center for repair. It's nice to go out once in a while with hubby, minus the kids. Perfect Hideaway!

I've heard so much about Mexico, in fact I have a friend who has lived there for quite sometime. I have a few friends too who have spent their vacation in Mexico, and they didn't like to leave the place because to them it was paradise. Truly they enjoyed their Mexico Vacations. Would you also want to have your vacation in Mexico? I know of a website that will make your Mexico stay a dream come true.
Karismahotels.com can make your vacation an exceptional experience. If you need some relaxing and bonding time with your husbands or with your loved ones, karismahotels.com has an all-inclusive vacation location in Riviera Maya, where there are endless possibilities. Stroll down the white sand beach, have a massage under the palm trees, go scuba diving or snorkelling, explore the hidden spots perfect for stealing a kiss or a sweet embrace, or just stroll around Playa del Carmen. It's perfect right? And this is the way to spend vacations since it's not everyday that we can take time off from our hectic schedules.

Despite her busy and crazy schedule, Cuz didn't have second thoughts of accompanying me to visit the sick dad of one of my college bestfriends Y at a hospital in Las Pinas. When I told her about it, she mentioned that she wanted to go with me when I go and visit. But I didn't know when I could come. When I sent her sms that I was going that day (Saturday) she immediately said yes. She knows my friend Y, I introduced them in 2004 when she went to SF. I picked her up and we drove all the way to Las Pinas. We were both happy to see our friend Y, but at the same time sad because of her Dad's condition. I ask for prayers in behalf of Dad Nonoy, that the Lord will extend His healing touch upon him.
After our visit to the hospital, Cuz treated me at Pancake House at Rockwell. We had our bonding time which I soooo miss. If you notice, we have not been really going out a lot. She has been busy, and I have been busy too. And guess what takes so much of our time? Haha, doing sponsored posts ^_^ But at least we were able to take some time off and be with each other. Again for the 2nd time, we were not able to snap some photos, you know the CHAIRMAN's mind is preoccupied these days, bwaaahhh! Love you Cuz!

Fruitful Week

Wahoo! I'm done with tutoring, 2nd Grading Periodical Test Week is over. It was a very toxic week, I didn't know how I managed. I always had to wake up early, to prepare lunch meal for the kids, checked the reviewers, tutor the kids after lunch, start preparing for the evening meal, teach them again after dinner. My only time to do sponsored posts was when everyone's already settled and asleep. It's so hard to do sponsored posts in between bloghopping. So I always end up sleeping at 2 in the morning.
Friday was a treat for me. I was able to sleep until 10 in the morning. Ahhhh it feels good. In the afternoon, I went to Union Bank to open an eon visa cyber account which has a tie up with paypal. Hopefully all the payments for the sponsored thingy will be credited to this account. Thanks to Rowena, I actually read it in one of her twitter messages. Although I already opened one with Security Bank, I just wasn't sure if it had a tie up with paypal.
I was able to attend belly dancing class too. I missed 2 sessions already and was happy to be back. We had our bonding moment after class when we had dinner at Tempura with my dancing buddies. Too bad Rica wasn't able to join us, miss you girlfriend!

Not that B.O.R.E.D anymore!

Last saturday, my son Josh requested if I could drive him somewhere (I don't have a clue where, I'll just follow his navigation) to buy his level up card for this online game FLYFF he plays. Little did we know that the card was available in a store just a few steps away from our house.
Then I asked him, let's go on adate, "don't call it that Mom!". Make it let's hangout nah, let's call it bonding instead. Hehe, even with the choice of words, he is very particular. Is it really like this? Having kids who are in an awkward stage? Every word has go through the "board of censors". Arrrggghhh, I don't think I can put up with this.
Anyway, here's what he had. He said he's gonna forget about dieting. NO DIET indeed!

I was able to chat with KC the other night, yay! See I told yah people, I can forget about the boredom! So that's one off my list! I played video games too, borrowed my daughter's DS Lite, and guess what? I enjoyed playing Cooking Momma, hehe so funny me. ^_^ So that's another off the list, yayness!
Go Into Sports
Thursday, September 20, 2007
I have been encouraging my children to go into sports. As it is now, they are not really involved in any regular sports activities. All they do is use the internet 24/7. I see the need for everyone to get into any kind of sports. It will not only help you get into good physical condition, but it would keep you away from bad vices. I always stress this out with my children. My son started going into badminton, but I cannot really make him do it on a regular basis. I asked my daughter Ish what kind of sports activity she wants to go into, and she mentioned that she wants to try soccer. They have soccer in school which is part of their PE, but they only teach the basics. I don't think they have a complete soccer equipment to start with. Maybe I can enrol her to a summer soccer clinic come April. If only we live in a subdivision with a field big enough to play amateur soccer, then it wouldn't be a problem. Meantime, I will try and get them portable Soccer Goals, so they can play with their cousins and just have fun every weekend. This would be a great bonding moment among cousins. At they same time they will be able to brush up the techniques they learned in school.

Wow! Red!

I was treated to lunch today by my fave bff Cuz Marie at Bangus, Greenhills. We have not gone out for quite sometime already (like 100 years in my time frame), so when she sms(ed) me last night asking if I wanted to meet with her, I said yes immediately. After lunch, I had my fave coffee fix at starbucks, and of course what's next to follow? We went window shopping, I was looking for a nice peep toe and at the same time a red biggie bag. I didn't know that she wanted to buy a red bag too. We were both lucky to find the bags that we wanted, it would have been nice if we got the same, but they only had 1 stock for each. So we ended up buying 2 different ones, almost alike but differs in size, mine is slightly bigger though, after all it's the BIGGIE red bag I wanted!
Yay! Finally

Oh yes! BFF finally joined belly class today. I'm happy that she decided to continue dancing after 6 months. Way to go cuz! I'm overjoyed that we shall see each other at least twice a week. Let's shimmy together...all right?

Since it was a holiday on Monday, Ish thought of visiting museums. N planned to go to the San Agustin and Casa Manila Museums. Too bad such museums are closed on a Monday (we were not aware of that). We then proceeded to Fort Santiago (the first for the kids and our angels) and learned something more about our national hero Dr. Jose Rizal. Josh really didn't enjoy that much again because of the smell. It was very clean and well maintained, but I don't know why the smell. Josh said Fort Santiago stinks and smells like manure. Probably because of the horses (calesa). Pasig River added to the stinky smell too, but overall it's still one of the best tourist attractions we have here in the Philippines.
After Fort Santiago, we went all the way to Mall of Asia to buy some additional school stuffs for Ish, we also had dinner there. Too bad we were not able to see the fireworks coz we were in the middle of dinner. I can say that this is a different kind of bonding for us, a first "cultural awareness" bonding for the whole family.

Dance...Dance...Dance
Thursday, May 17, 2007
Man! We are dead tired! We danced practically for 6 hours yesterday...the longest. We are preparing for tomorrow's dance recital which will be featured in GMA's Unang Hirit. I don't know how we can dance that early. Regine said our call time is around 5 in the morning, and that means we have to be up at around 3? No way! Honestly I don't know how we're gonna do it.
I'm happy that Ish is dancing with me. She only started in May and she's joining the recital. She was able to memorize the 3 dance routines in like 5 sessions, and to think that she doesn't have a background in belly dancing. She still has to learn the basic. Too bad school starts in June and she can no longer join us.

Bits and Pieces
Friday, May 11, 2007
If you noticed lately, I have been including sponsored posts in my blog. And i'm happy to share that the two posts i've written have been approved. Well I'm just waiting for them to mail my check (i'll keep you posted). Since I have been endorsing a lot of products here in my site, I thought why not get paid. The funny thing when it's a sponsored post, I find myself in front of the laptop longer than my usual almost everyday posts. Sometimes I just find it hard to endorse products, or talk about a certain sites. There are actually a lot of sponsored posts that you can take, but then again it's very hard to write about things that you can't relate to. If I get my first check in the amount of US$55, I promised myself to get a dot com, now isn't that cool ^_^
My daughter Ish decided to join me in my belly dancing class. The first time I brought her there, she had second thoughts of joining. But she made up her mind one day and now we belly dance together. I bought her two sets of costumes in Divisoria for her to use on the 18th for another recital. I was thinking of making her one, but I just don't have the time to do it. I don't wanna feel stressed out just like the last time. I know it's my fault coz I'm fond of doing things at the last minute. And yeah, I don't think her Dad will allow her to use those bra type tops that I normally go for. Now is that an excuse? ^_^
Cuz has been sharing with me this Korean brand of makeup called The Face Shop since last year. I didn't have the time to check it out until last Tuesday when my SIL invited me to go to Serendra. I bought their eye and lips makeup remover. It's oil free and alcohol free. I think I like it, it's not harsh even if a little goes into your eye. I also bought their pink lipstick.

Do You Need To Remind Me?
Saturday, April 21, 2007
Joshua's yaya (nanny) is on a 2-week vacation. He attempted to sleep by himself on the 1st night but to no avail. He ended up sleeping at 5 in the morning. So we asked him if he wanted to sleep in our room. For a week now, he has been sleeping with us.
We always have a little chitchat before bed talking about this online game that he has been playing. Frustrated that I couldn't even understand what he's talking about, I decided to try it. He gave me a few tips on how to go about it, explained further the dos and don'ts. He even assured me that I'm gonna enjoy the game.
Here are some of our conversations every night:
Me: Are you sure Josh that I can go about it (the game)?
Josh: Of course Mom! And yeah if someone goes to you saying, need bf or need gf, IGNORE them...and besides you're already MARRIED.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Me: Hey Josh...what are runes? (i have not finished the tutorials of the game) Can you tell me where to get it? Can you also tell me where to get some food, etc.
Josh: Sorry Mom, I can't teach you much, you see I'm not a born teacher, and besides I know you can figure it yourself.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Josh: Mom, I can't sleep, I'm bothered by Dad's snoring.
Me: Tap him on the shoulder, and when he moves he'll stop snoring.
Josh: *waiting*
Dad: *snores*
Josh: *taps his shoulder*
Me: I said tap Josh not shake!
Josh: Mom, the tapping did it, he stopped snoring!
~the following night ~
Josh: Dad's not snoring, finally we have some PEACE AND QUIET nor now.
Me: Do you think Dad'd not annoyed by our noise?
Josh: I don't think he hears us...see he's still asleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Me: Can you move a little please...you occupy so much space.
Josh: What can I do, I have ABs and MUSCLES.
Me: *gasp* ABs and MUSCLES? Do you know what you are talking about?
Josh: boys can dream too, you know.
Josh: *touching dad's tummy* Mom, I can feel dad's ABs, open close quotation.
Tour for a Cause
Saturday, April 14, 2007
"Sweet, let's join Tour of the Fireflies" N was telling me one night. It's fun, it's an experience, and there's even a 4 yr. old boy who joined last year. Since it's fun and all, I immediately said YES. Then I went to google it...WHAT? 50 km? around Metro Manila? (I know, I should have asked for the details before saying YES) And I go, sweet I don't think I can, it's a 50 km tour, I don't think my body can handle it. And he goes "kaya mo yan (you can do it), you have enough cardio exercise, there's your belly dancing and you've been playing badminton lately".Well, who can say NO to that. I'm really excited, I'm all geared up to do it. It's a once in a lifetime experience, and yeah if my body decides to quit halfway, then I can always take my bike and ride the truck =)
Playing Badminton with Josh
Wednesday, April 11, 2007
Josh has been playing every afternoon for an hour at the 4th floor (supposedly our badminton court, but still unfinished). I even joined them one afternoon coz I heard their voices and they were having so much fun. I really didn't intend to play that afternoon. But seeing them having a great time, I joined them, too lazy to change into the correct footwear. Too scared to play in my havaianas, I played barefoot (yeah call me cheapskate or something). The result? I had blisters...hmmmp I didn't like to destroy my havaianas you know :)
Seeing how Josh enjoyed, I invited him to go play at the court nearby...now he is making it a regular thing. I'm just waiting for him to tell me that he again wants to be trained (we enrolled him in 2004 but only finished half of the training as we were scheduled to have a vacation).
See how my darling boy's soooooo serious about his fitness program...will he lose weight?
Me: what is it babe?
Josh: oh never mind Mom...i heard you sigh (which I did), maybe I asks too many questions.
It has always been this way (not the sigh part), whenever we're in the car, Josh talks non-stop. Occasionally he's being joined by his sister Ish. They sound like tweeting birds. I used to tell them, hey I can't concentrate on my driving, can you please lower your voice or just give me some peace and quiet til we reach the place?
Me: person who didn't have sex yet (I assumed he knows about the sex part)
Josh: oh so that makes me a virgin, and I guess i'm gonna be a virgin forever.
Me: and why do you say that?
Josh: because I don't want to have annoying kids, just like me!
haha...so he figured he can get annoying sometimes huh =)
