Vacation Property

The internet junkie that I am, I come across different things whenever I am online. I particularly love house and home websites. Yeah I am dreaming of having a vacation property in the US. I have 2 sisters there and they don't really have plans of settling back home I guess. Anyways, I came across Branson and I really love the small community that they have. The place is just awesome and breathtaking. I like to live in a house similar to the picture I posted. Having a house amidst trees is just great. The atmosphere's very relaxing. Here's another thing I bought when I went to The Face Shop. I've tried my hand into falsies, now it's again time to try my hand at nail stickers. Well I've been doing my own nailart, but it is just too taxing. I can spend like an hour painting my nails and I really get tired afterwards. Putting nail stickers is an alternative, plus the fact that nail art would look really perfect. No smudges or anything. My fingers look really good with nail art.

A Great Travel Destination

Have you been to Mexico? They say it's really beautiful especially the while sandy beaches. I actually want to hear a first hand information about this great travel destination. Like a story perhaps of a friend who has just been there. Although I already have an idea on how beautiful the place is based on stories I read and the feature once on Travel and Living, I can't get enough of it. Falsies

I am not blessed with long eyelashes, but I can do something about it. I found this falsies at The Face Shop which they sell at 130 pesos I think. It took me 30 minutes or more to master how to put it on. But it's all worth it. When my niece saw me, she said, "Tita, you really have long eyelashes." See how effective it is? It looked very natural on me I guess. Now I don't need to go for lash extension, I was actually planning to have one, but now no more, thanks to the Face Shop.

Easter Happenings

On Easter, we had a get-together hosted by my Aunt. Some relatives arrived from the States and it is a wonderful opportunity to have a reunion with my dad's side of the family. After the sumptuous lunch, there was a lot of catching up to do. We broke down into small groups just chilling out with each other. Some played scrabble, while the others enjoyed singing. The boys had fun playing video games. I played a little mobile beauty parlor by fixing the eyebrows of my cousins ^_^ afterwards I had a relaxing ng tickling massage on the massage chair. What a fun day we had!

The spa business is doing well here especially the good ones. It's always full and you need to book in advance to be able to get in. Like the spa that I go to, gosh they have very good massage therapists. It makes you want to have their services every now and then. It's really very relaxing. Full Parking

We went out last Black Saturday because we wanted to enjoy the metro all to yourselves. We were excited to find the streets almost empty, yeah with only a few cars (you can even count using your fingers). Like the picture above? That's is where the bottle neck is every single day, but look just five cars and we're the 6th.


Whoa! No wonder the streets were empty, they're all in Greenhills already. I was surprised finding a lot of people really, coz we used to go out during black saturday and and it was not that full.

Heehee, I can't make up my mind whether I'd be disappointed and sad or not. Today is the graduation of J. He is not excited at all, probably because he didn't get any medals. If you are following my blog, you would probably know too that he's not gonna get any. Well I thought I was over it, but when I attended the ceremony today, I felt something different. Yes I was disappointed, parents dream of seeing their kids go up the stage with their medals. Honestly I was hoping that the school admin would be considerate enough since his grade qualifies him to have one. But then rules are rules and who am I to bend it. Anyway, the fact that I know his general average qualifies him to have a medal, well that's enough consolation for me.

Items for Christmas

Christmas season is still far away I know. But have you noticed how fast time flies? I still remember the time when our one-stop photo shop was still in business and as early as June I was already thinking of what promotional products to give out to our loyal customers. I noticed too that prices are lower compared to the months nearing December. I can't help but sometimes think that people take advantage when you are pressed for time. Well I have learned my lesson already, and I find nothing wrong getting stuffs to be given away between the months of May to July. At least I'm getting some load off my back during those months, and it's a very big help.

Dream Big

Now that my daughter Ish was given a 10 year visa, her dream of visiting the theme parks in Florida will slowly unfold. She was actually wishing for a multiple entry because a trip to the US is all she's asking as graduation gift. Nope she is not graduating from High School yet but in two years she is. At least visa problem is one load off my back. All I need to do is find some Orlando Hotels that's most accessible to all the theme parks she wants to visit. I hope I can find her a good deal since I heard Orlandohotels.com offers very good accommodations at low, if not the lowest rates. We better start saving now, for this dream of hers to be realized. A Fun Way to Welcome Vacation

Since summer vacation officially started, I have the luxury of bonding with the kids almost every night. What better way to bond...well having a midnight snack. Tonight, we had a different bonding. We had a bottle of spritzer to finish...some queso de bola and good old chippy. The boy was even kidding me, "Mom, let's watch HBO." It's a private joke that only the 3 of us understand. We kept on laughing, in between drinking and eating. This is one thing that their Dad is missing, because he is already fast asleep. You see he is not used to sleeping late, while the rest of us are turning into zombies. What fun!

Still into Dancing

I'm still into Belly Dancing, and enjoying every minute of it. I don't think I can give it up because this is my only form of exercise. And besides this is the exercise that has given me back my curves (ahem). Really I'm not kidding, I used to have a body that can compare to a bean bag, but now no more, and thanks to Belly Dancing. Something New to Feed the Family

I think I have a family that is most hard to feed. I have to come up with something new, if possible everyday. I think I need to enroll in some Culinary Arts School or something, but that is just soooo expensive. I will just settle with the recipes I find in the internet. I must say that it is really very helpful, but the thing is, not all ingreadients are readily available. When this kind of thing is happening, I do my best to just modify making sure that it will taste good.

Exterior Shutters

I really admire houses with exterior shutters. This is the first thing I noticed when I was in the States. I don't know, but I really find houses with shutters attractive. It adds beauty to the exterior of the house. When we were still in the planning stage of building our house, I was looking at a lot of American inspired houses and houses with shutters really caught my attention. I know you'll agree with me that it's really beautiful. Had I known that it can be made out of fiberglass, I would have considered it. Oh well, maybe in the next construction ^_^.

Help Me Find It

Grrrrr...I wanted to iron my hair yesterday but I couldn't find it. I swear I just placed it on the bed to let it cool first before putting it inside the drawer. Anyways I was getting frustrated looking for it, that even my helpers helped. There was only one thing in our minds. It's so impossible for it to disappear just like that because none of us remember putting it away. I was already getting mad, I began retracing my steps on the last day I remembered using it. But I was definitely sure that I placed it on the bed. I asked everyone including my boys, N and Josh. They both said that they didn't touch it. Ok fine! The following morning, I was still searching for it, and this time I was really hhhmmm maybe a ghost wants to look beautiful. Then all of a sudden, a male voice was heard. Do I get a reward if I find it? It belongs to N. Ok at the back of my mind, hhhmmm I think you have something to do with it. True enough, please look at the picture. Tell me, how in the world will someone put the iron in the bike? It blends so well that I really didn't notice it. And he was saying something like, "You don't know how to look for things!" Yeah right! Grrrr!

I know of somebody who is building their dream house and they are really very excited about it. She enjoys going to home depots to scout for some stuff for their house just as I enjoyed going a few years back. Building a house brings joy, stress and frustration at the same time. It's really frustrating that you can never sometimes find the things you found in the magazines or things that you found online. I remember the time we were building our house, it was like my life depended on home magazines or some home building websites. I would surf the net a lot for fresh ideas. My friends would also recommend some stuffs and I am really thankful to them. I have It Back

Wahoo! I'm now working on my laptop. Finally I was able to get it from the service center last Monday. As mentioned, they changed the system board. I was so scared of the software and programs I've downloaded, although I did a back up. It was all intact, and that was the first thing I checked when they handed it to me. I didn't bother to check if the wifi was working, lol. I'm glad that I have it back now. It's really different working in your own laptop, makes things faster and easier. If you noticed, I've been updating both my fashion blogs, it's because I can make use of Photoshop CS3, i'm no longer contented with what's installed in my son's laptop which is CS2.

Ne-Yo Live in Manila

We had the opportunity to watch Ne-yo live at the Araneta Coliseum last Saturday. There were lots and lots of people who watch. It was a full house, from the most expensive tickets to the cheapest ones. Yeah even the bleachers were full. No wonder Ne-yo said that this won't be his last visit to Manila. He really felt the love of the filipio people here. Despite the fact that he had a 2-night concert, both nights were full. It only goes to show that filipinos are music loving people. The kids enjoyed a lot, even standing up, putting their hands in the air, screaming and dancing. Josh said it was a memorable first concert for him. Ish even said that his brother is very lucky, because the fist concert she watched really sucked big time. Even if our tickets were expensive, we were way at the back. I swear I wouldn't be watching concerts in an open field.
