Fun in the Sun
Thursday, December 27, 2007
Oh they also have this so called adult area which is perfect for a honeymoon destination. They have intimate hidden spots for lovers, a great way to surprise your partners with a romantic kiss. There's actually a lot more to explore. So let's all pack our bags and head to this great travel destination. Don't forget to pack a couple of swimwear and some diving gears, and let's have fun under the sun.
Meet Trixie
Meet Trixie! She's the one in the middle in her pink jammies. And she sleeps in the middle too ^_^, but somehow she always ends up on the floor =(. I got her on the 25th of December at Animaland. It's like build-a-bear in New York, the shop that the kids did not miss when we were there. They got each a bear and lots and lots of outfits. I only got Trixie one outfit though, but I'm planning to get her more. It's fun dressing her up. It's fun being child-like once in a while ^_^. Day 9: Soda free =) Read more...
Almost Paradise
Wednesday, December 26, 2007

OMG! I found a perfect getaway, be it summer or winter. Gosh when I saw this on the internet, I was like, I want to go there someday. I actually heard my husband and his friend talk about this place while we were having dinner one time. She is a well travelled lady, and Italy is one of her favorite destination. She was describing to us this place in Italy but I couldn't quite get the picture. When I finally saw the pictures on the internet, my jaw dropped. It's some sort of paradise. Imagine waking up in the morning with the Dolomite Mountains as your backdrop. Yes, it can be seen from any view especially if you stay at Hotel Interski **** - Val Gardena Dolomites. The hotel is located in the middle of Val Gardena, and accessible to every activity you can think of, be it summer or winter. I think I'd love to go there during the summer first. I want to experience nature at its best by hiking or even biking. I'd love to discover the heart of the Dolomites. It's also nice to go there during winter time. I heard that it's every skiers dream to visit that place. This will be added to my wish list, and I hope I get it anytime soon.

Happy Christmas
Christmas dinner was spent at my Mom's. She prepared a sumptous dinner too. I totally forgot about ham and queso de bola for our own Christmas Eve Noche Buena. It's only when I saw Mom's Excellente Ham and Marca Pina Queso de Bola that I remembered, boo we didn't have that for Noche Buena. Oh never mind, I'll see to it that we're gonna have that on our table this New Year's Eve.
As usual, we went to watch Enteng Kabisote. For those of you who are familiar with this blog, you all know that it's part of our so called "Christmas" tradition. I dozed off a bit in the middle of the movie, probably I was too tired preparing for our Noche Buena. Everyone enjoyed the movie as usual. And yeah we have an added Christmas tradition. Me and Ish decided to get a new stuffed toy from Animaland every Christmas. I named my bear Trixie. She's cute, right now she's wearing her pink jammies.
I'd like to thank everyone who dropped by to greet me a Merry Christmas! I really appreciate it. I'm sorry if I haven't been to your blogs, work was neck deep.

On With the Challenge
Monday, December 24, 2007
Oh yes! It's kinda hard especially if you are addicted to it. I am struggling, yes, but then I have to do it. I think this is the longest time that I haven't had any soda. I'm having headaches lately, I don't know if this has something to do with being soda free, some kind of a withdrawal, but I don't think so. It's maybe due to the sudden change of temperature, yeah that's it. On with the CHALLENGE!

Ish convinced me to buy this really humungous BEAR, it's gonna be her boarder just for tonight, uuumm hopefully. She really liked it a lot and was very happy when I bought it. Actually she wanted the biggest one, but I didn't enough moolah to buy it. Maybe next time Ish, or better yet maybe you can buy it with your Christmas moolah, bwaaaahhh!

Do you want your existing pool to look something like the one in the picture? It's really nice and modern, not like the old traditional pools we normally see. I can suggest a website that does just that. You can try az pool remodeling, they have been in the business for 29 years already, and that makes them the oldest pool company in Mesa, Arizona. They build like 200 to 300 pools in a year, and they can even customize it to fit your lifestyle. If only our lot can allow having a pool, then I'd like to have something like that. It's the kids' dream to have a pool at home. Tired

Christmas Break
Anyway, Ish asked if she can go to her classmate's house. We allowed her to go, but she has to be brought there by our driver. Originally she was to ride with her classmates, but we were not totally ok with that. She was kinda bargaining with us, but NO. I told her, if you wanna go, then Kuya (the driver) has to bring her, PERIOD. After some chilling out at her classmate's house, they proceeded to Trinoma. I immediately took a bath to accompany her, again we're not ok with just herself and her classmates going to the Mall. Times are hard, and she is too young to be by herself.
Store Your Wines Properly
Friday, December 21, 2007
Isn't that pretty? I really want to have that for Christmas. I know, you'd say the reason why I picked it is because of the swirls. Yeah I am totally in love with anything that's "swirly". I don't know why, but ever since I can remember, anything with swirls that I get hold on too, I really buy it. I just find it very appealing. I think that would make a beautiful piece of furniture in the house. Something that would make people's head turn. And besides it's really unique. I do have a Wine Rack at home, but it holds only 3 bottles. All the rest of the bottles are just lying in the store room. Obviously, I'm not storing my wines properly, but what can I do, as I've said I only have a rack that holds 3 bottles. So I guess it's about time that I get a new one ASAP. Especially now that it's the season of giving, a lot of our clients and friends give us wines as presents. This time I'm not gonna let it stand just like that. Wines are expensive and I don't want to put it to waste. I'd like to enjoy its real taste. Goodbye Blisters!
New TV
Wee! We got a new tv, a 29 inch Samsung Slim. It will replace our old (read:15 year old JVC) tv in our bedroom. It's actually a free gift for being a very good client. Originally, it's only a 21-inch Samsung but we had it upgraded, with just a little cash out of our pockets. It will be delivered on Sunday because they didn't have any stock at their store. They have to order it direct from the Samsung Office. I think it's very saleable because of it's reasonable price. Oh I also got an Imarflex Juicer, which is part of the gift. Now I can make our fruit juices combined with vegetables. It's time to get healthy you know.Day 3 - Soda free =)
Soda-Free Challenge
Thursday, December 20, 2007
I am challenging myself to be soda free. Supposedly it started yesterday, the 19th of December. But today while I was at Burger King, I totally forgot that I have this challenge. I was already half way drinking my Coke when I remembered that I'm not supposed to drink coke or any soda for that matter. Darn! I should have been on day 2 already. Do you know the reason why I want to go on this challenge? I want to have a flatter stomach. I've been dancing for almost 3 years already, but I still have a flabby stomach. So there!Day 2: I had Coke =(

Hair Products
There's another thing that I like in this website. They just don't advertise products. They provide help by explaining what causes certain problems, say for you hair, then they try to explain the solution for it. They list down the problem solving products. If you have problems with your skin, hair and body, worldofhair.com is the best site for you. I've bookmarked this site already, so that I will know of the products that will help me with my hair problem.
The Boy Who Turned 12
That's me and my darling boy. That was taken during his birthday, the 15th of December. We had a small dinner over at a chinese restaurant at Mall of Asia. We asked him what he wanted to have on this special day. All he wanted was Noodles with Soup. So I got him Beef and Wanton Noodles. At first he wanted some Crabs (that to him is good food), but later he changed his mind.
Anyway, what's with the number 12? The day he turned 12, he transformed into a typical teenager. I think he now takes interest in girls, talking about them almost everyday. I told him that I was happy with that (ahem), not that I wanna be a grandmother soon, but really. I'm as excited as him. I love listening to his stories.

Paintings
Friday, December 14, 2007
While I was browsing Overstockart.com, I can't help but admire the Abstract Oil Paintings they have in their website. And my eyes got really big upon seeing their prices. The ones that I liked were on sale. It's like I don't have any reason this time not to own it. Aside from the fact that it's on sale, shipping is free. I can always have it shipped over at my sister's place in the United States. Oh before I forget, these are real hand painted oil paintings. With 70 percent off the gallery price, this is such a good buy. Go check it out too. They can even help you choose a perfect painting to match your decor.

I'm Changing my Mind
Wednesday, December 12, 2007
While having dinner awhile back, I was looking at our christmas tree from afar. I thought I was admiring it, but at the back of my mind, I was hoping that we can let it rest next year. We've had our tree for 4 years already, so with the ornaments. So I told my husband that I want a new tree next year. Originally I expressed my desire to have a real pine, but I think I'm changing my mind. I'm known to be setting up my tree either 1st week of November or 2nd week the latest. I don't think a real pine will last that long. I've seen it over at my in-laws. They've had it last November 20, and it's slowly drying up. I think I'll just get a fake tree, one that looks like a real fresh pine. Yep I've already seen one at Landmark in Trinoma. Wedding Rings

Belly Dancing
Saturday, December 08, 2007
We had the privilege of having Pacita Prasarn as guest instructor at our belly class. She is an instructor based in the US, and she's really good. She taught us different ways on how to do the shimmy. And I was like, huh! how did she do that? It's really amazing how she can move her body and how she can isolate her movements. It was like wow! I don't know if I got her techniques right as it was really quite foreign to me. Too bad she taught for about 30 minutes only. She actually had another class yesterday. But I was not able to attend, I had a prior commitment. She'll be here until the 20th I guess, I hope I can still attend the special class she'll be having.

As what my husband mentioned it's actually cheaper having to start it now than resort to any kind of cosmetic surgery later. Do you agree?

Motherhood
Thursday, December 06, 2007
Seems like for the last 4 weekends, we have been watching movies. Oh I love it when N treats us to movies. It’s a nice way to bond with my teenagers. We get to have dinner together at any restaurant we pick, we can play at timezone while waiting for the movie, or probably shop for a good 30 minutes. It makes us closer as a family. I wonder until when this will happen. And while we are still at it, all I have to do is enjoy the company of my teenagers. Yeah yeah teenager is stressed here. Gosh it’s frustrating to have teenagers, sometimes I don’t and I can’t understand how they think. I try to be cool as much as possible, but most of the time I can’t cope up. So all I do every night is pray for them. And the Lord has answered my prayers. The teachers said they’ve improved a lot in their attitude, which gave me a sigh of relief. All I can do now is really pray harder and harder, for I can’t really take full control of them anymore. Gone are the days when I can “terrorize” them to do some things. Oh I love motherhood, a never ending challenge!Bad Credit Auto Loan

Elegant Furniture
Tuesday, December 04, 2007
This website is really good for newlyweds, especially for those ones who are moving in to their new homes. I highly recommend this website because of their simple but elegant Furniture. They have the finest collection of bed frame and sofa. Try to imagine this, A 4 post bed, with a cast iron canopy. Isn't it a beauty? This is just one of the furniture you will definitely go for. I'm pretty sure you will love all stuffs you see here, and you will also find their prices really affordable. There's a particular Bed I love, it has a beautiful Victorian touch, a bed really fit for a queen, and I deserve it, because I am the queen of this household.
Discipline
I remember spanking my kids when they were still young. It’s either using the slippers, a belt or my bare hand. It was mostly my hand that I used though. Nope, I didn’t have second thoughts of using the “rod” especially if they don’t obey orders and rules in the house. Of course I will have to talk to them first and warn them, and if they ignore me, that’s the time I “hit” them. But now that they’ve blossomed into teenagers, it’s pretty hard. All I do is talk to them and if I get frustrated, I shout/scream! After which I ground them for a day, depending on what they did wrong. When my son does something wrong, I keep all his “toys” (laptop, gamecube, ps, ps1, ps2, psp, nintendo wii, nintendo ds and gameboy). As for my daughter I think I will confiscate her cellphone and iPod. In other words, I will take away their “life”.
Now I am asked to tag 5 more and include my answer in the list below.
1. Miche does not spare the rod.
2. Chinnee still spare the rod at this moment.
3. HiPnCooLMoMMa Can’t use the rod at this point
Let me hear how other moms discipline their kids:

Job Offers
Monday, December 03, 2007
The newest arrival in the financial services recruitment scene, www.accountancyjobsabroad.com, has achieved three important goals in its second month of operation. Firstly the company has achieved a number one ranking on Yahoo for its key search term ‘accountancy jobs abroad’ which is unprecedented in such a short space of time. Secondly the company has signed up its first five employers to the site including two ‘Big Four’ Accountancy firms in Bermuda. Two leading captive management firms again mainly present in Bermuda, but also with opportunities in Cayman, the US, Barbados, and Ireland. Thirdly and finally the company was a headline article in one of Bermuda’s leading newspaper’s business section. Namely the Bermuda Sun. The article entitled “Job Site Aims to Fill Accounting Skills Gap” outlined the company’s aim to provide flexible recruitment solutions to employers however as the company is totally web-based this will be achieved through competitive commission rates.

My Precious Car
Sunday, December 02, 2007
Honestly I am the first one to despise and eventually laugh whenever I see cars with covers. I even started a private joke among my friends, saying something like, the car won't catch a cold because it's covered all over. Little did I know that these car covers are actually very helpful. It can protect our cars from dust, scratches uv rays from the sun, fading, and even theft. I know I'm being stupid, but hey I learned my lesson. Quite sad though, because I had to wait for something to happen. I am quite fond of parking my car outside the house, and at that time there was a construction of a building going on. My car was covered with dust, and guess what? There was a little kid who turned my car into a blackboard and started writing. And what do you know? I was like grrrr! From then on I started putting Weathershield Car Cover. I actually like this one for a number of reasons. It's water resistant, it dries quickly, UV Resistant, dust proof and best of all it packs small and light. I can bring it anywhere with me. How about you? Do you cover your cars?
