Disgusting Acne

Sunday, May 30, 2010

I think I already shared a hundred times about my love affair with acne. I always want to talk about it because I think I am a success story. Nope I don't have acne scars/marks simply because I took care of my face. Now my son starts having acne too and good thing I didn't have a hard time dragging him to the dermatologist. It's now controlled and he has to apply some topical meds. For those ones who are still suffering from acne, you can probably check the best acne face wash. This should be part of your regimen. I'm telling you now, you need to be religious about the regimen prescribed by your doctors if not you will never get rid of that acne and it's disgusting.

Hire a Professional

Friday, May 28, 2010

We've moved three times already since I got married. All these times I didn't hire a professional mover. We did it ourselves and I tell you, it's a wonderful experience NOT! I remember having sleepless nights all because I wanted to finish the work. There was tension everywhere in the house. I was always mad and even the littlest thing would make me mad. That's probably because I was too tired from all the packing. I didn't have a system these professional movers have. Do you know the reason why I didn't hire a mover? I thought it was expensive. Initially it would appear like it is based on the figures that you will see. But just like me after every move, after the computations and all, it appeared that hiring a mover is just a little bit expensive. But I tell you, the amount that you save is not worth the hassle, the tension that you'll encounter once you do the moving yourself. Not only that, there's a chance that some things get broken. Of course when you hire movers, they pack it in moving boxes specifically designed to secure things. When we do the moving ourselves, we just get some boxes and stuff everything until it's filled. We all know that that is not the way things should be done. This is the reason why accidents happen along the way. It's really different when a professional is doing it. They have all the experience needed plus they get your stuff packed and delivered safely to your new home.

Lost Chance

Photobucket

I was this close to visiting Banaue Rice Terraces, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. I actually invited myself to join my aunt who has a board meeting at Solano, Nueva Viscaya, an hour and a half away from the Banaue Rice Terraces. I was all set to leave, but then I had to finish some online tasks which were already due. I beg off because I don't think there is internet connection in my Aunt's house. I'm actually sad having to pass up the opportunity, I will just wait for another one anyway my aunt attends the board meeting once in three months.

How Tall Are You?

Thursday, May 27, 2010

"I need the height Momma!" I normally hear that from my daughter. I didn't expect my daughter to be that short, well she's not really short but I wanted her to be taller than me. Right now I am taller by 3 inches and I know that she really wants to grow taller. I wonder if these hgh releasers can help us solve her problem. She'd be the happiest really if this could add to her height. She's turning 17 and actually I've lost hope already that she'd still grow taller. In the articles that I've read, once the girls start to menstruate they grow 1 or 2 more inches after which they achieve their adult height at probably age 14. But you know, I'm still hoping that she'd grow a little taller.

Baklava for Dessert

She ordered Apricot Baklava for dessert. I've read about Baklava in a friend's blog and I promised myself that I have to taste it one day. I'm not sure about it's origin but I read that this dessert is very popular in Turkey. Anyway Baklava is a sweet pastry made of layer and layers of paper thin dough filled with chopped nuts and in our case it was mixed with a bit of apricot. I'd say it's really yummy and I would love to have it again and again. I hope to find a restaurant near my place that serves Baklava so I can get my fix anytime. Why don't you try it yourself, it's yummy!

Bora...Here We Come

"Mom, I think you gained weight again. Look at your b**bs and that booty of yours," says my daughter one time. I gained weight yet again. I gained back what I lost. It's time to think about weight loss again. I still have about a little more than a week before our Boracay trip. Yeah I can still do it, well I'm not actually aiming for a really flat tummy or a six pack abs, a few inch off the waist will do. Time for my salad, only salad, and I will never say what about the carbs or the protein my body needs. Let's see if this will work, again I am crossing my fingers.

Future Family Room

We have an extra room in the house big enough to be made into a family room. Right now I can't really set it up just yet because of budget constraints. But I already have an idea what to do with it. I am planing to put in modern furniture, only modern furniture and nothing else. It's going to be a modern room, not something dated. Can you imagine what the room will look like? I do, I'll transform it to something you see on the pages of a modern architecture mags. We need to work harder though, or a win in a lotto will do just that *cross fingers.

Gold Vs. Silver

Friday, May 21, 2010

SIL invited me to go with her to Gold's Gym one time. Honestly I love the place, a far cry from the gym I go to. For one, the ambiance is really nice, the a/c is working fine, in fact you don't feel like it's 37 outside, the gym does not have a foul smelling odor, no foul smelling odor, oh did I just say foul smelling odor? Yeah, ours does not have a pleasing smell, smells like body odor when you go inside and it makes me barf. Seriously I don't breathe when I enter, as much as possible I run going to the dance studio. Nope the nose is still not immune at this time, I don't think it will. But once inside the dance hall, you feel like you're in another planet, you don't smell those men (pardon me but majority are men in different nationalities).

I was this close to accepting SIL's invitation. But when I think about the distance, this makes me think twice. You see my gym now is just a 5-minute drive from our house, while Gold's Gym is about 20-30 minutes depending on the traffic. Gold's Gym is situated in an area where there are lots of restaurants, and a few minutes away from the mall. This means that I might be spending more not only on gas but on food and what not. This is what made me decide to stick to my old gym. I will just bring a laundry clip to put on my nose to avoid the bad smell.

He plays online too and he's got friends. He forgot about the computer temporarily, until when? I don't know. Hopefully he still gives me my computer time, if not I will be forced to buy my own. But knowing my son, he'll surely share but on a limited time.

Miss Those Days

I remember the days when I used to man our store/studio a few years back. I had all sorts of experiences. There were polite customers, there were also rowdy ones. I can never forget those scary ones. Scary in the sense that you'd get the feeling that they will harm you. You can't blame me for feeling that way, we were situated in a place where there were a lot of happenings. Anyway, I remember too that people kept coming back to buy Batteries. At the back of my mind, I was wondering what they were doing with the batteries. It turned out we were selling it cheap and they in turn sell it too. I wonder what would be the sales of Procell Batteries if ever we sold one. I heard that it is an excellent battery and it sells at a cheaper price. I'd probably get dozens of orders if that's the case. Too bad our store/studio closed. It broke my heart, but what can we do? It can't be self supporting at that time. I'd rather close it than get funds somewhere else, not a wise decision. Oh I miss those days. It kept me occupied and took away my boredom. Given the chance I would want to have a store again, but this time I'd be selling things that I love, yeah clothes.

I just wish that they had a plus size petite model so I would know how the clothes would look on me. Hhhm, maybe I can suggest that to them anyway it's still in it's beta version. What do you think? IMO models should come in different shapes and sizes.

Prenatal Vitamin List

How important is it to take vitamins when your pregnant? It's very important I tell you. That's the first thing the OB GYN will ask you to do after she sees you. I do not remember anymore if I took one of these prenatal vitamins when I was pregnant. Man that was 14-16 years ago, too long to remember. But what I know is I was given the best prenatal vitamins. The husband saw to it that I had the best. We both wanted to have healthy babies and in order to have healthy babies, mothers should take extra care of themselves especially when they are pregnant.

Another thing, I know it's so hard to house train a dog, but I'll do my very best. Wish me luck please. I will update you from time to time on my progress with my beloved Peh-pah.

I'm Overweight, So What?

I don't really get offended if someone makes a comment that I am fat. But when it's done obviously to piss me off, sometimes I get offended already. Sensing the Youth through Shirts

Analog Soul designs for Yo!Noy campaign

‘Yo!’ by definition is a slang word used as a greeting or to call somebody’s attention. Yo!Noy! is doing just that: calling out to people. What a way to make themselves more heard than with wearing their expressions! The group partnered with retail clothing brand Analog Soul to do just that.

Analog Soul is a Filipino retail clothing and accessories company that embraces the creativity and eclectic side of the generation today. It prides itself in having a brand that provides customers as well as the artists an avenue to express themselves. This time, through their partnership with Yo!Noy, it has allowed its brand to be a vehicle of expression of the group.

Yo!Noy or Youth for Noy is a group set up by the younger generation of the Aquino family, headed by Bam Aquino, Jonty Cruz, and other youth leaders. It is an umbrella organization for youth groups across the nation to support and campaign for Senator NoyNoy Aquino. The founders consider the name as the best way to not only distinctly associate themselves with the youth, but to show that they are standing up, speaking up, and showing their support.

How does Analog Soul fit in all this?

“Analog Soul is one of the finest youth brands out today. We tapped their help as part of our goal to spread awareness. We asked the retail clothing brand to design and sell shirts centering on Yo!Noy and Senator Aquino,” starts Jonty Cruz, one of the Yo!Noy’s founders.

Migs Naguiat, Analog Soul owner, narrates, “Our partnership came about when we did a collaboration between the Benigno Aquino Foundation with IAmNinoy and IAmCory movement. Yo!Noy asked us to create a design for the youth campaign for their ‘Tito Noy’ that is in Analog Soul style.”

“Analog Soul prides itself in being an advocate of expression especially for the youth. We support the young generation to be vocal and exercise their voices, making them heard. With the election coming up, and with the initiatives of Yo!Noy, it is only evident that youth now have their “say” in what’s happening. Whether we go for a certain candidate or the other, as long as we have an opinion and we will exercise our right as members of society – that is what we hope to achieve,” Naguiat emphasized.

When you hit the stores, you will see that there are two designs that resulted from this partnership. Both were developed by Naguiat’s colleague and co-owner Paolo Lim. Who would not recognize the laban sign and the yellow ribbon? Both have become to be symbols of passion and action that are now etched into the psyche of the Filipinos. Analog Soul only gave it a youthful twist to fit Yo!Noy’s personality and the campaign. From the modern laban sign which clearly evokes the spirit of EDSA and the passion we, Filipinos, all have, and the excellent typography design of Senator Aquino’s image that just inspires action, the designs of Analog Soul really hit the mark.

Collaboration – this is how Cruz sees it. “Everyone at Analog Soul gave it their all. They listened and took in our inputs and comments, but the final output was more than we could have expected! They were nothing short of amazing,” he shared.

All Yo!Noy Analog Soul shirts are available in Analog Stores at Archeology, Rockwell Center, at the Ramp (Glorietta 4), and Trinoma. For more information on Analog Soul and visit Analog Soul at www.analog-soul.com.

I Smell Good

Wednesday, May 05, 2010

Next to bags and shoes, I love fragrances. I think I got it from Mom. She'd always smell good whenever she leaves home. Oh even at home she puts on perfume. She does not put perfume on her bath though, but I have a sister who does that. She picks one of these christian dior fragrances to put in her bath. How vain right? But it works! I copied her one time but with one of my favorite calvin klein fragrances, what a heavenly smell. Once in a while I still do that whenever I remember. I want to make it a regular thing but then again it can get expensive. Hhmm probably I should check on this site that sells colognes and perfumes at a reasonable price, maybe by then I can make it a regular thing already. What do you think?

Gold: A Wise Investment

Friday, April 30, 2010

Let me ask you a question, just a hypothetical one. If you receive a sum of money unexpectedly, how would you invest it? Hhmm, I know most of us haven't thought about that question. Did it ever come to mind that it's a wise decision to buy gold bullion? If you ask me, yes I would tell you that it's a wise decision. If you follow the gold price, never in it's history it went down. The price is always going up. What does this mean? For me it's a good investment. It preserves the wealth and the purchasing power. Gold has been an investment since the ancient times and up until now there's still a lot of people who prefer to invest in gold.

The Wait is Over, well Almost!

Thursday, April 22, 2010

The sisters are arriving tomorrow from the USA. I am very excited. When my sisters decided to come home more than a month ago, my other sister jokingly made a bet. I took her seriously though in the first two weeks. Would you care to know what she wants to bet on? It's our weight. Apparently both of us have weight problems. We are overweight beyond our height and age. She came up with a solution, thus the bet. Who ever wins will be treated to Red Crab, the number 1 restaurant that serves crabs here in the Philippines. Ok so on with the bet. We were both good on the first two weeks, but gave up on the third week. I wonder if she ever thought of resorting to
supplements. I gave it some thought, but then again I have to do more readings on it. I need to talk to someone who's used it and probably consult my doctor first. Yeah this is the best thing to do before going into something, especially if it's health related.

*I don't think I'll win, I gained back the pounds I lost and there's no way I can lose, they are arriving tomorrow remember?

Roadtrip: Anvaya Cove

MIL celebrates her 68th birthday with a series of roadtrip. Anvaya Cove was the first leg. We left Manila a bit late already because the kids had to do finish some requirements in school. It took us a little over 2 hours to get to Subic. We had lunch at Teriyaki Boy first before proceeding to Anvaya Cove. It's a second for me and the hubs at Anvaya, and the first for the kids. Like us, they enjoyed so much. It was fun swimming in the beach, and it was nice lounging around the pool too. Nope, no tan lines for us since we got to the place pretty late, the sun was not harsh enough to produce tan lines in our bodies. Good if I may say since it's not really good to stay under the sun. Yeah I know, going to the beach is not complete without those tan lines/sunburn. Probably next time then, but no, we are scared to get skin CA.

*more stories to come - we did 3 legs.

The Lines Gave It Away

I was in the mood to put on makeup today. I was excited to try on the Urban Decay Primer Potion that Krisa sent me. Oh I love it! It held the eye color pretty well, and the blending was amazing. After I was done with the hair and makeup, I had my photo taken. It was something like a photoshoot for a magazine, haha who am I kidding. It was the hubs who took the shots. He downloaded what he took in between shots to check on the lighting. Lo and behold, I need to use the best anti aging supplement. I saw lines, very visible at that. I can't hide my age anymore, those lines are giving me away, golly! Really, I have to look into this anti aging thingy, it's best to start early you know.

Not So Typical Sunday

Typical is that we attended the church service. I was glad we did. We were challenged to give, not just give because we are obliged to do so. It's not in the amount really but did you know that God is more concerned with how you feel about giving?

Typical is that we had lunch over at Mom's. As usual food was superb, nothing fancy but very filling. I had my veggie fix which I look forward to every Sunday we have lunch at Mom's. I missed Mom, we didn't visit her for two weeks since we were out on vacation. I miss the laughs and I am looking forward to never ending laughs when my sisters from the US get here. I wish I can stay with them during the duration of their stay, but, but I have a family to take care of. I'll just go and visit whenever I can.

Not so typical because instead of having dinner at the in-laws we ate at Thousand Cranes at Trinoma. Kuya A arrived from the US and the family treated him out for dinner. Another not so typical is the fact that we watched a movie (LFS) after dinner. Kick-Ass was fun, someone let out a scared shout (epic fail) in one of the scenes which I really didn't understand because nothing was scary about the movie. Probably too excited and got the house down.

Decorating your child’s room in an airplane theme

Friday, April 16, 2010

My son is crazy about airplanes, he has been since he was two. I am always looking for activities that he can experience different types of planes.
Last year I took him to the local air show where he saw planes from world war II, he saw a bomber plane that was used to bomb Berlin and a bunch of transport planes, and he even saw some modern planes. But I think his favorite was the fighter planes that looked like they had shark teeth painted on the front near the propeller. He had such a great time that I vowed to make the air show a yearly event at minimum.
When it came time to redo his bedroom, I got the idea to make over the room in an airplane theme while he was at his grandma’s house for a week. I found these great airplane ceiling fans that I knew he would love. I finally settled on a fan that is called a warbird ceiling fan. It looked almost exactly like the front of the same fighter plane that my son had really liked at the air show.
The next item I chose was an awesome bed that looked like the red baron fighter plane, which is actually a biplane. I topped the bed off with an airplane spread and sheet set and called it good.
For the walls I decided to get creative. I started with a base of sky blue which I painted white clouds. Then I used this really cool stencil of a little airplane and strategically placed them around the room.
For the capper I found some airplane mobiles to hang from the ceiling to match the Airplane Ceiling Fan , oh and I also found a floor rug (we have hardwood floors) that is blue with clouds and about 6 planes flying around on it.
When he got back home he was on a cloud and I had an ear to ear grin. He hugged me for a really long time and told me that I was the coolest dad in the world. I only hope that when he reaches the teen years that he remembers this day.

Ewwww for Blackheads

Wednesday, March 17, 2010

Saturdays are mostly spent at the dermatologist's clinic. I guess this is the age where kids have problems regarding their skin. Pimples for Josh and blackheads/whiteheads for Ish. They both hate it that they could pass up their favorite past time just to go to their dermatologist. I wish I knew how to how to get rid of blackheads, so that it will save us a trip to the derma. It gets quite expensive if it's on a weekly basis. Money is hard earned, I wish I can do something about it. But then again it's not my thing, I might aggravate the situation more. I'll just leave it to the experts.

I Remember Those Days

Pimple-clad face...is there such a thing? Well that's how I described my face some 18 years ago. Yes it was that terrible. If I had my kids at that time, I'm sure they won't be throwing me kisses, you get the picture? I had to go to my dermatologist once a week for treatment. He gave me oral medications and probably gave me the best acne cream too because in about 6 months of treatment there were no traces of acne. Up until now you wouldn't think that I once owned a "pimple-clad face."

Honesty

Yesterday I went to buy some chicken nuggets at the nearby foodie shop. I did that after I fetched my son in school. Anyway, when I was about to start the car, I was wondering why I was holding on to some money, more than what my change should be. So I went back inside the store and returned the excess change. When I got to the car, my son asked why I had to do it. I told him that I was aware that I was given more than I should get as change and it was cheating if I didn't return it. And he said something like, "oh Mom it will return to you a hundred fold." That wasn't what I had in mind actually when I returned what was not mine. I didn't like to cheat.

Anyway while I was in front of the computer reading my mails, I got so happy that I blurted out a gasp. Both my children looked at me surprised. I told them that I was just extremely happy because I had a lot of writing jobs to finish. And my son suddenly said, "Hey Mom, that is the hundred fold from the One hundred pesos." I praise God for that testimony. My son saw first hand the rewards of being honest and true.

Weight Issues

I've been bragging about my weight loss these past few days. Not that I have lost a lot but it's just that it really brought me joy. Others would think that I did something like a quick weight loss program, partly yes actually but it entailed a lot of hard core exercises. Hard core because I do it Mondays through Fridays for about 2 hours. No weight lifting here but pure cardio routines. I put my heart and mind to it and really worked hard. This is the reason maybe why I burn a lot of calories plus the fact that I don't get lazy when it comes to my fitness thing. I hope you guys are serious about fitness, not for losing weight but because each one of us really needs to exercise in order to live a healthy life.

Car Registration and All

Tuesday, March 16, 2010

Our van is up for renewal of registration. I think the insurance is expiring soon too. Sometimes the burden is just too much, especially now that times are hard. But these things are inevitable. You have to do it one way or another. It's time to go through car insurance reviews so I can pick the best deal. We have to be wise in all our moves now when it comes to decision making especially if it involves money. It's not like you can pick up money along the way. Everything has to be hard earned now. I wonder when all these expenses would end. As it is it's even harder to make both ends meet. Wise spending is the key word all the time.

Long or Short

I miss having long hair and what do you know? Instant long hair. I actually had a hard time deciding whether to get it or not. My first concern was the color. My hair color is now dark brown, it's a bit dark for the brown extension and a bit light for the black extension. I was thinking of coloring my hair light brown, but then again even if how much I want it, it just can't be. I'm using henna and I learned that once you use henna it's hard to change the color anymore, unless you bleach it. Well I don't want to go to that extent anymore, it's just too harsh for my hair at the moment. Second, I was thinking that it would be too obvious with the length of my hair now and the cut is too straight. I think hair extensions wouldn't be so obvious if you have layered hair. Hhmm, those two didn't stop me from buying plus the fact that everyone was saying, "Oh it fits you!" They sounded so convincing so I ended up buying it. It's human hair by the way, you can use it straight or you can curl it. That's the beauty of using human hair.

Cosmetology School...Someday

Saturday, March 13, 2010

Did I ever mention here that I want to be a Beauty Salon owner one day? I guess you all know by now that I am really into that kind of stuff. I bet you have seen my DIY nail art, DIY makeup, DIY hair coloring, etc. I know I still lack the knowledge and that is the reason why I want to enroll in a cosmetology school. I need that too to manage my own business. I believe it would be a lot easier if I went to a special school for this. I know part of what they will teach is salon management. I have actually inquired already but have not decided yet whether to enroll or not. I was kidding my SIL to sponsor my schooling so I can put to good use the talent that God has given me. I volunteered to help manage her salon too in case she is planning to put up one. She is really interested but I don't know what is stopping her now. It's probably the location. This is one factor that makes the business successful. We really need to look for an appropriate place where there is a market for it.

Love Affair with Ellgy

Thursday, March 11, 2010

I mentioned in my other blog about my problem with my very rough heel. It's actually short of having cracked heel which I find really eeewww. I was looking for a product that would help soften my heel and it's a good thing my SIL mentioned Ellgy to me. I remember using this before and I think I posted it in one of my blogs too. Yeah I did and it was back in 2004. It's been 6 years and it's only now that I need the product again. I will not forget about Ellgy when I get the same problem in 6 years time.

Just to give you an update, I'm on my 3rd day of using the product, now my heel became a little smooth already.

There's also a tip for dry and rough skin over at StyleBeautyandMore. I think you should try it too, and it's an affordable remedy.

I Used To Stink Just Like Them

Saturday, March 06, 2010

Did I tell you that I stopped smoking already? I'm happy to say that it's been more than a year. The hubs has not quit yet and I am now terribly bothered by the smell, to think I smell just like him when I was still smoking. I read somewhere that when you use electronic cigarettes you wouldn't stink. Forgive me for the word stink, but honestly people who smoke are stinky. Don't get mad but you do. Why not try e-smokes? I think I'm going to get one for the hubs since he's not quite ready to give up smoking just yet.

Zumba!

I attended my usual Friday Aerobics Class today and something unusual happened. I asked the instructor about Zumba since I really want to do it. Luckily he knows the moves and he incorporated it today. I feel so guilty though because two of the ladies walked out. They don't like Zumba at all. I only asked the instructor if he knows, I didn't ask him to do it in class. I know I don't need to feel bad because it wasn't my fault, but just the same I am. I feel bad that someone had to walk out and with sad faces at that. I very well know that they got frustrated or something.

I Love Watching in His New HDTV

His old television set is still working. But apparently it does not work anymore (he thinks that it does not) with his gadgets. One day he came to us. Mom, Dad, I need a new TV so bad. And I was like, but the TV in your room is still working. But I want this LCD HDTV I saw at the mall. Oh you'd be happy if I tell you that they are on sale right now. The price used to be really high, and now they've taken off quite a big amount. I think it's a great deal Mom. How convincing can your children get? Mine is really very very convincing. But even if he is, reality is it still depends on our budget and if we have an extra to spare.

Gold is a Wise Investment

Thursday, March 04, 2010

I am totally angry at myself. I didn't listen, I made the wrong choice. It's not all my fault actually, but also the one who marketed the product. I'd like to think he is stupid, that's not even a strong word to describe him. We could have used the money to buy gold coins, maybe by now we are already enjoying the benefits of our investment. True to what my father-in-law once said. The price of gold will never go down. Look at it's standing in the world market today! It has gone way way up ever since the dollar became weak. Gold was at it's highest in January 2010 and is expected to rise even more in the coming months. Isn't it a nice alternative investment?

What Colon Cleanse Can Do

It's probably the "scare" when I hear people getting sick of this and that and I would automatically look for articles on how to avoid getting sick. I would read that getting rid of the toxins in the body which is accumulated in the colon really helps a lot. There are a lot of benefits of colon cleansing. One benefit that I am interested in is weight loss. I need not further explain why :P

I'll try and save up for it already since I'm pretty sure that we'll be staying in a hotel or in a villa probably. It's free to dream right? I don't know, we've been to the US but we still want to go back. I wish it was closer to the Philippines so we wouldn't be spending that much.

Now that my daughter wants to learn how to drive and she wants to use my car when she goes to college, her Dad suggested that we get insurance this time. I found this discount auto insurance online and I'm hoping that I can find the exact coverage that I found. I wish we had that kind of site that offers insurance quotes for free. I'm not sure though if we don't have it. The normal practice here in my country is to e-mail the quotes or probably discuss it over a cup of coffee at the company's office. It would really be convenient if we can just get quotes and be able to compare it online.

No wonder a lot are hiring this mesothelioma lawyer so that in one way of another they can claim whatever is due them. The amount will come in handy for their treatment. I wasn't contented with that length that after 2 weeks I had it cut again, this time to a shorter one and a different style. I had bangs.

Two weeks after the major cut, it looked something like that. Now I'm starting to grow it again so more or less I look something like what you see in the first picture. Now the question, have I fully recovered from my problem for me to start growing my hair? My answer is YES! It may not be positive to others but to me it is!

Is Your Business Insured?

There are probably lots and lots of business owners and property owners. If you look at it, you would wonder why this country is still poor despite the fact that the people are doing their part. Ha let's not talk about it here, that will be for another entry.

Going back to the renewal of business permits, you are required to get insurance otherwise you can't get your permit. I just wished that the kind of insurance we have is the same or if not similar to this business insurance. But sad to say it's not. I think business owners do not really mind paying a bigger amount as long as what they pay for is worth it. To me the insurance we have here is a waste of money.

This beautiful Ice Watch was a belated birthday present from my beloved cousin Marie. I actually demanded it from her. Well that's how she likes it. She wants me to tell her what I really want. I think that's cool. I would do the same and by that I would be pretty sure that my present would be greatly appreciated. Don't worry, I know what to demand and I don't take advantage, it's not in my system. That watch is actually a present for all the occasions that can be found in a single year. Fair enuf? ^_^

Take A Break

There really comes a time in a person's life that he feels like having a break. A tired feeling that you feel like rejuvenating. Taking a break is important, well that's just my humble opinion. It's time to recharge, to rethink and to fix whatever needs to be fixed. Now talking about taking a break, I think I need one. I found this place online which people talk about. It's quite popular probably because it's really nice there. Wondering if you have a place to stay there? It's no problem really since there are affordable myrtle beach vacation rentals. You would be surprised to find that the rates are really affordable, and having a short break is therefore affordable too.

Graduation Present

My daughter's high school graduation is nearing. I am truly positive that she will be marching that's why I can talk about it. Now what is an appropriate present for her? She likes a lot of stuff but I guess she'll have surprised and happy to receive this Gold Initial Pendant. She's been asking me if I can make one for her. I guess graduation will be the perfect time to gift her with that. Now if I have extra moolah, I can probably upgrade it to a diamond initial pendant which I found in the same website where I found the gold one.

Farmtown

I thought I was done playing Farmtown. For a while I have not been playing it. Probably because I found another game and I got hooked once again. Out of curiosity, I checked on Farmtown! Wow a lot of new stuff! You can now even buy the adjacent lot, way too cool, right? Yeah but you gotta have 3M. Is that my target? Not at the moment, I just play to enjoy and to pass up my time. Haha as if I am not busy. There are a lot of stuff waiting to be finish, yeah I am talking to myself, just the perfect reminder.

Text Alert

Friday, November 27, 2009

I actually want the school where I send my kids to have a text alert system. A lot will benefit with this thing especially when it comes to important announcements. Sometimes it's just so hard to get through the school's phone lines and it becomes frustrating. Important announcements like class being cancelled should reach all persons concerned at the right time. But in our case it does not. There are occasions that we have brought the kids to school already only to find out that classes were suspended. If only we had this text alert system, then none of this should be happening.

A Tux for Him

"Hey Dad! I need you to take my photo...it's for my profile pic in Facebook." That's my son talking. And he wants to have his picture taken in coat and tie which he wore only once and does not fit him anymore. He's even talking about getting a new tuxedo. Eversince, this little big guy of mine is so into formal clothing. Whenever we go to formal occasions, it's always a coat and a tie for him. Probably because he can see that formal clothing really suits him and he looks good in it.

My Perfect Companion

You are my perfect companion in my campaign to work on my abs. It's been a problem for more than a decade already. I keep promising that I'd start working on it, but after a few days, I get lazy. And look what I have become, 17 pounds heavier. I look good despite the weight gain, but it all went to the wrong places if you know what I mean. Nobody wants a bulging stomach and I just hate the fact that I have it. I have to work double time if I want it a little flat, not super flat, but just a little flatter.

Time to Say Goodbye

I really need to buy a new laptop. My two year old laptop died on me and I just can't afford the cost of repair. It's not really reasonable since you can buy this new laptop with the price they are requesting me to pay. I was like NO WAY, I will just buy a new one. There's this ruby red laptop that I am eyeing and I am totally in love with it. I am still saving money for it and hopefully I will be able to purchase it early next year. It's hard not having a computer of your own. It's like you are always at someone else's mercy. And I just hate that feeling.

Electric Fireplace

Monday, November 23, 2009

Cool! Guess what I saw online? There is an ongoing sale of electric fireplace until the end of November. Honestly I didn't know that there is such thing. Pardon me, I live in the tropics so there's really not much I know about fireplaces. The ones I see are the traditional ones if you know what I mean. But really these electric fireplaces are cool. If you have a small place, they have a small fireplace for you. Come and look at the prices, I tell you it's very affordable. You gotta hurry too because the sale will only be until the end of November. You still have a few days left.

Gray Sandals

Isn't it pretty? Oh forget about the foot, it's the footwear I am talking about. I saw that on our way to Church one Sunday. But I first went to attend the Sunday Service before going down to purchase it. And you know what's good about it? It's dirt cheap. Got it only for about Two hundred fifty pesos, and that's roughly a little above five dollars. I've actually learned my lesson. I'm no longer buying expensive footwear, it gets destroyed over time especially if you don't get to wear it often.

Unique Floor Tiles

Sunday, November 22, 2009

Who among you are building your dream homes? Or probably renovating? Can I suggest something? I just can't keep my mouth shut on these floor tiles I saw online. There are a lot of nice choices be it ceramic, metal, porcelain, glass and natural stone. You'd be inspired by the patterns and colors that you will see. You will definitely be able to choose after going thru all their tile products. See for yourself, so that you'd understand what I mean.

Fight Wrinkles

It's inevitable, problems beset us. But I guess it's how you face your problems that is important. Oftentimes you hear your friends tell you not to be so consumed with your problems or else wrinkles will appear. I've been told about that wrinkle thingy a lot of times already and I am readying myself with the use of an anti-wrinkle cream. I can't deny that huge problems really consume me. There are times I can help it but there are just times that I can't. I am just human after all, so others say.

Thanksgiving: Kids

There is an ongoing meme over at facebook and I decided to join it. I will be reposting it here in my blog so my other friends who are not in facebook yet can read about the things that I am thankful for.

I am thankful for the joy my kids bring. They are the apple of my eye and they are my bundle of joy. I can't imagine what life will be without them. They just bring me so much joy and I truly appreciate it. They make life worth living.

Male Stuff

Saturday, November 21, 2009

I've been hearing the word spring plungers but have not really bothered to know what it looks like or what it's for. You can't blame me for not being interested in guy stuff once in a while. Like would a girl normally be? I know that is not a fair reason, but then again it pays to know a little more, whether it's male or female stuff. I know you would agree with me on this.
